New Spring DVC Incentives for Riviera & Aulani

Anyone have what the old incentives were? I can’t find them and it might be a bellwether if they’ve gone up, down, or stayed the same.

Working on putting together an article this afternoon comparing the two. My general impression though is that the savings basically negate the impact of the point increase but the total price is higher than it was previously.

Here is a thread started previously that has the prior incentives and the current incentives in the thread.

Prior Incentives:
Price for RIV is going up at the end of the month to $195. I am sure it will be accompanied by new incentives, but they may not be better. Sales for December were pretty strong.

Not sure about fixed week discounts, but I thought I remember reading it still applies.

Here is what is current but you’d have to call to get FW info or discounts over 300 points.

Here is the current image from the Disney Vacation Club website in private mode (so it has no cache of me being a member). You can see they are better for current members still.

There is some discussion going on regarding this new round of incentives on that original thread.

Edit here is the Effecitive Price per Point if you buy in increments of 5 points from 50 to 295 (I didn't have the incentives that occur after 300).

As you can see the new incentives (including the bonus offered until 2/26) are better for some sweet spots (mainly 200 - 249 points for Current members and 175 - 285 points for New Members) where the new incentives are cheaper with the price increase vs the prior incentives.

hmm.... I am a current member and seems the new incentives are a little better at 150pts that we are now considering.

Old Offering (@ 188pt)
150pts x $188pt - minus $750 incentive = $27,450 ($183/pt avg)

New Offering (@ $195)
150pts x $195pt - minus $1500 incentive until Feb 28 = $27,750 ($185/pt avg)

EDIT:
Mistakenly mixed incentives. The new promo is slightly more expensive for 150pts.

So, the new incentives at 150pts are a whopping $150 cheaper!!!

Old Offering (@ 188pt)
150pts x $188pt - minus $300 incentive = $27,900 ($186/pt avg)

The old incentive was $750 at 150 points. So the old incentive was better at 150 points by $2 a point.

Your absolutely right! I confused those numbers for the 125pt tier savings of $300. Thank you.

What were the old incentives you used? Basically what were the act fast savings? I’m surprised it led to the new member pricing to be cheaper than the current member pricing. Edit: It appears you kept the “act-fast” savings in the new member pricing but didn’t include it in the current member pricing. See the link below that highlights what the incentives where until 12/16 (the current incentives that expired on 1/28 + act fast).

This is what I knew them to be (until 12/16) and that shows the current member pricing as cheaper (i.e. better incentives at every level)

Though it also might be interesting to compare the price on 1/28 vs the price on 1/29 to show that the new incentives would be cheaper in some ranges if you bought on 1/29 instead of 1/28. So removal of the act fast savings.

Well - I used the holiday incentives as they originally existed in October. They included an "Act Now and Save More" promo similar to what occurs with the Riviera offer from now through the end of February. But bringing it up makes me realize I did that for the new but now existing member. Updating now.
