**July 2020**

I was hoping for a MK dessert party on 7/3 but I thought I missed out since it says no tables available. But has it just not been offered yet? Anyone else running into this?

The reservations haven't opened yet for the 3rd or the 4th. There's watch thread over on the Restaurant Boards if you want to join in :-)

Funny enough we have Homcomin' brunch on the 5th lol I believe 11:30?
That's hilarious, I think we are 11:30 too. I am pretty sure we are keeping this as you know I LOVE Homecomin'. Jack is home next week for winter break (Yay!) so we are doing some trip planning and will see if he wants to add/change anything.
Yay!! I remember you saying you were hoping for this!! I would love to meet Jack!
I am SO excited!I've been asking the boys for years to do a mom/son trip so am thrilled it's finally happening. Jamie is still holding out but Stuart is thinking he may come to DL with me next March Break. :)
Wait we need a TOTWL invite to get there lol
We'll have you covered!

My July trip is booked!! I couldn't get a straight week anywhere so went for a split stay. Starting off for three nights at Copper Creek Villas ~ deluxe studio(June 30 - July 3), 2 nights at Saratoga Springs ~preferred studio(July 3-5) and Animal Kingdom Lodge ~ savannah view studio(July 5-7). So excited for my first mother/son trip!

Ok, so now we have to choose between Smugglers Run and Mickey & Minnie's Railway... and Slinky Dog. My family has ridden SR but our friend who will be with us hasn't - and I will have been on M&M but no one else will. Plus Slinky Dog. HS has gone from a ghost town to tooooo many things to ride in a day! I love it but AHHHHH!
I was just at Disney last week with 100 of my 7th grade students - in the afternoon, SR had a wait time of 45 minutes...not a terrible wait if you want to use your fast pass elsewhere.

Happy to say we will be back in July! Another teacher here from VA...we go almost every July and it’s usually hotter at home than it is at WDW! We will be staying at CR from July 6-14 to celebrate DS 18th birthday and HS graduation. I’m so excited that we will get one last true family trip before he heads off to college. We snagged free dining, so ADR’s are all set. Now to plan out FP....

Same celebrations here! DSs bday is July 5th. Added to roll call :welcome:

@suse66 updated your info in roll call!

Doing the same thing here, DS turns 18 in April on a Disney cruise and then one more WDW trip in July before he's off to college in August :sad1:

We will definitely plan a meet up! With Kelly there with her son as well maybe all the boys will get along while we chat and drink at Top of the World!
Oh and forgot to add that I was able to book the Up Close with Rhino's tour just a few days ago for July 4th! So excited, I did this once already but the rest of the family hasn't and I know they'll love it :thumbsup2
That sounds great! We are at AK on the 4th in the late afternoon as Jack wants to have dinner at Yak and Yeti. He has mentioned the "Caring for Giants" tour so I may try to book that as well. Have you done that one?

I've been trying to figure out this conundrum as well. It will be our very first visit and of course we want to do everything, lol! I'm thinking we'll get fastpasses for SR and rope drop Slinky, try and get MMR for another day and just park hop over to do it.

I definitely think HS needs to be split to 2 days if you want to do it all, especially as a first time! I'd do an EMH morning at MK, do a bunch on the first couple hours then FP at HS later in the day.

I think plan A will be FP SDD, rope drop Smugglers and hopefully get on Mickey & Minnie with a not too bad wait. We'll somehow it looks once M&M opens.

Any of y'all July folks book dining with an animal specialist? Has that been discontinued?

I'm a little late to the party, but we just decided on a July trip! We are thinking we may make it a little less Disney and more resort time as it's our 10th trip and 4th in the heat of summer. But we're hoping the After Hours for MK and AK are released during our week so we can do those, plus a day at HS. We haven't picked a place to stay yet, are considering an offsite resort, but we'll see. I love onsite too. Our dates are July 25-Aug 1.

Same! We arrive at Art of Animation around lunchtime on 7/7. We‘re planning to take the skyliner over to DHS that first day (and hopefully check out Fantasmic that night), so I think I’m going to try to FP either SR or MMR for that day (I know those are tough to get at exactly 60 days, but I’ll give it a shot!), then rope drop/FP the others when come back a later day for ROTR.

Hi all. I’ve only just stumbled across this thread. We are returning for our fourth visit after a break of 8 years. We will be staying at POFQ FROM 25th July - 8th August. Our very first visit to WDW was in August back in 2008. I can’t remember much about the heat and humidity but DH says it was awful and was the reason our next two trips were over Easter where the weather was wonderful. Price increases have stopped us from returning; I am a teacher in the UK so can only travel at peak times. However, we found that the prices were more favourable in July/August so poor DH has finally succumbed to pressure from myself and DD (19) - SWGE may also have helped persuade him!
We are beyond excited to return 🥳🤩🤪 and have spent the time since booking researching by reading this site and watching countless travel vlogs on You Tube! A lot has changed since our last visit in 2012!
I’m really hoping seasoned July/August visitors will be able to share any insights. We spent yesterday planing which parks we would visit on which days by using the WDW website with published park openings. Are these times fixed or likely to change? The closing times seem pretty early. I seem to remember closing times were later during our last visit. 🤔

Hello! Super excited for our family trip June 27-July 7th at Pop! As west coasters, we've defaulted to a few short vacays at Disneyland, since our last trip to Florida in 2014. With so much opened since then, I'm hoping we can get to see everything new to us... its overwhelming all the new "lands" and rides, and the updates at Disney Springs. We were looking at waiting for the 50th anniversary, but decided it'd be good to "catch up" now (and as the family vacay planner thinking maybe bounce back for the anniversary???😎 shhhhhh!!!)

Disney has been changing park hours routinely now. The park opening time seems to be the one they are most likely to change with only a week or so notice. That usually means that more fastpasses will be released when they add hours.

Disney has been closing the parks earlier than in the past for a few years now. They now add special late hour events that people have to pay for if they want to stay late.
