One mile from DLR doable without the back & forth?

Finding that Hyatt Place at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center is $100 cheaper/night than Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center, although Hyatt Place is a mile away from the DLR.

Only having one Park day I won’t be back & forth to the room, so this seems doable? Appreciate any DL vets advice.

These two hotels are not that far apart. The Hyatt House is at the corner of Harbor and Katella while the Hyatt Place is approximately one block farther down Harbor on the opposite side of the street.

Hyatt place is totally do-able. It’s across the street from homewood suites where we stay. So you’ll actually save yourself one street crossing! About 15 min walk.
Or you can uber.
Thanks, Homewood is another I’m going to check! Rates at HoJo were 260, Hyatt House 230; & Hyatt Place 130, each night, for my 2 nights in March.

Looks good to me! I’ve done doubletree suites which is just beyond that. It will be rough after a whole day of walking around the park, but not $100 harder in my opinion.

Doubletree has suites that sleep 6, so probably more expensive, but cheaper than two standard rooms elsewhere. My favorite lately has been the red lion, just beyond Hyatt house.

Once while rushing to Radiator Springs my traveling companion commented to me how these days guests don't think anything of rushing to E-ticket attractions on the far side of the park but back when DCA was a parking lot guests "needed" trams to transport them back to their vehicle because of the long distance.

It's all about perspective.

I was thinking about that recently. We used to park there (where DCA is now) and there we'd start walking to the entrance, but there's always be a tram coming/going and we'd hop on that. Remember how it didn't have doors and kids could go flying out the sides if they were seated there (which they weren't supposed to be seated there)? We always considered that one of the rides.

Ahhhhh memories :)

So true!

We stayed at the Hyatt Place and walked each day and didn’t feel like it was horrible. What we ended up doing was walking there in the morning and took an Uber back at night. For some reason the walk back after all day in the park felt double as long (and I do half marathons!) so I suggest the uber back, it’s cheap and worth it. This time we are staying at Hyatt house because each day we would pass it and say “next time let’s stay here”! Either way, you will have a great time!
