Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Page 1620-1622

Lucky you! We have YC CL booked with 2 rooms I garden view and 1 standard. With all the possible changes to CL I was trying to rebook a regular room but both BC and YC under Sun and Fun are completely sold out for the last week in August. I love and miss Disney but no way am I booking without a discount! Bad enough if I change resorts I have to pay the new tickets prices. For two rooms and 7 people we are talking an additional $500 Plus to make the change. 😡

I don't think I have your upcoming trip on the Be Our Guest list, so I will add it. I agree with the others who are advising you to keep checking to see if regular, discounted rooms become available for your dates.

There is! It's my favorite coffee on property!

:welcome: to posting on this forum!

So will we (I hope)...although we will be checking in on 17th and at this point staying until Nov1 (30 yr anniversary). We were hoping to go abroad but with the current state of affairs we will be staying in the US. I had originally booked two weeks thinking we would wait to see when the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Event was...we love it. We were going to cancel the second week. Unfortunately...it is the weekend after we come home and by the time we found out the date the weekend was booked, so now I think we are just going to stay for the whole two weeks and do some extra special things while we are there.

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list for your anniversary celebration trip.

I'm headed for my first stay at YC in a garden view room in Sept 2020. We got some killer room rates as a group deal ($219/night). We are super excited as we usually stay value or mod and have only had one deluxe stay in Saratoga Springs. If we want to be close to everything, but still quiet, what would be a good room request? I hate walking long distances at the end of the day back to my room (we were at the far back side of ASMU last time and it about killed me). Suggestions?

:welcome: to this thread!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

That is a fantastic deal.

As others have suggested, a garden view room overlooking the wedding gazebo is relatively close to the lobby, which is centrally located. There are also rooms in this category that overlook the back entrance (lakeside) courtyard that would be a convenient location.

I'll link the Yacht Club Room View thread, where past guests have provided some pictures and information about rooms in each of the view categories.

I am afraid to post because I don't want to get my hopes up. Here goes anyway!😊

Fingers crossed for July 5-10 at YC. I only get to vacation once a year. Limited experiences are better than none at all. Actually, I usually try to pack in as many rides as possible into a trip. So this could be more of a relaxed resort trip instead of a busy park trip. Other than the obvious issues (I am in denial about virus related concerns), my only major concern is that SAB will not be operating.

Hoping for the best!!!

:welcome:

I'm crossing my fingers for you!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

Hello! I was just on the phone booking for March 2021 because I need to book that far in advance to get one of the handful of Deluxe rooms that allow my family of six to stay. The Wilderness Lodge was finally available, but higher in price than expected. The helpful CM looked for other options and found one I didn't know existed:a Deluxe room at BC! I guess they've always been unavailable whenever I've looked, so that I never noticed that BC had such an option. I'm really excited to try a new hotel and get up to speed on this thread.

:welcome: to this thread!

Did you book? I'll pencil you in on the list.

Thank you @Dave006 for the helpful info about BC Deluxe Rooms.

insert thread.

Ok with the postings and info of lower restaurants capacity, I am thinking of ordering more room service . I am thinking for sure breakfast. Can anyone give my their experience with it? Was your experience positive? Also might try late night offerings too. Can anyone recommend a favorite? We will be at YC. Thanks

We haven't seen too many reviews of room service, except that the food is decent, but pricey. My family has never ordered. Hopefully others will provide their input.

::yes::

We were supposed to go to Disney this July - but decided to reschedule. This is the first time we will be staying at the Beach Club! April 2021! We have a Disney cruise booked for the week after and have until December to pay our full deposit. We may turn it into a split stay instead depending on the nature of cruising then.

But I’m so excited to stay at the Beach Club for the first time! The last 2 times we went, we stay at WL. Our daughter will be 4 (but almost 5 😭) so I’m hoping she’ll love the pool. Its just the 3 of us going

ETA: I booked a water view room. Are they ok?

Yes there are 10 Deluxe rooms at the Beach Club just as there are 10 Deluxe rooms (remaining) at the WL. All the Deluxe rooms at the BC are all 2 Q x 1 Q Sleeper sofa. There are 2 DLX rooms on floor 1&2 and 3 on floor 3&4. These rooms are located in what I call the odd corners of the BC building. Most of these rooms have 2 Juliet balconies.

Dave

I appreciate the info you have provided on BC Deluxe Rooms.

I know the X606 rooms have a larger layout than the standard Beach Club rooms, but I have never seen them listed as Deluxe. Do you know if the category of these rooms has recently changed?

According to the color-coded BC map, which is several years old, they are just regular rooms.

Thanks for any feedback you have!

Dee when you get a chance can you please remove us from the BOG list. We decided to cancel the trip, we are going to do something different. We are driving down, yuck, and staying in different areas along the Gulf. We have a trip booked for October but not at BC/YC, we will be returning next summer though :cool1:

Water views are lovely! The only thing I want to warn you about is that only about 50% of rooms at the Beach Club have full balconies, no matter what view category you book. So if a balcony to sit out and enjoy the view is important to you, you should make that your first and perhaps only room request.

Here is a link to the Beach Club Room Views thread- pictures posted by past guests. Check out the rooms in the Water View category to get an idea of what the rooms and views are like

Stormalong Bay is great for all ages. There is a small kiddie pool and slide just under the big slide. If your daughter is more adventurous, there are lots of different areas and activities in the feature pool. Plus 3 quiet pools at the resort at your disposal!

I don't have any experience of breakfast room service as we usually just do a grocery order and make our own in room if we're not staying Club Level or oftentimes we head to Epcot to grab breakfast in France (my favourite). We have had dinner room service and found it to be a fairly good standard but sometimes it's a long wait to arrive. We usually just get burgers/cheese burgers and fries and some chicken noodle soups - all have been tasty. Think the kids had cookies/fruit with their meals as well and they loved them but it was a wee while ago (couple of years 2017?)

So because my mind is going in a ton of directions. I am considering dumping our hoppers . I have a fear scheduling your park will be required ( we often hop to Epcot at night to finish off our day).
So instead of hoppers I am thinking of renting 1/2 day cabanas three days.
We have rented in the past and enjoyed it and hopefully would ensure we get into the pool area.
I am still hoping that we can go to a park in the morning, swim in afternoon and re-enter same park later at night.
We book YC for convenience of walking and Hopping.
What does everyone think ? Do you think we will have to schedule our park? How would they even do that? By where your fastpasses are scheduled? Am I reading too far into all these different threads ?

If that does happen, everyone should be refunded for the Park hoppers.

I don’t think anyone knows right now though TBH. Who knows when they will even open up! Will the pool be open?

If you don't wanna say publicly, any chance you could pm me what the room rate was? Just trying to figure out some rough estimates for rooms for a trip in feb

Wish we could do it online at this time lol. Not ready to book right now since I need to know prices of rooms

No prob: $891/night (tax included, so about $795 before tax) mid-March, no Friday or Saturday night. C'mon, AP discounts!

Thanks.

I first was just gonna wait til ap discounts came out, because it could decide what resort we stay in. Is it easy to call to change resorts if there's a better rate somewhere else?

In my experience, it's more make a new reservation, and cancel the old if you're changing resorts, but yeah, not hard.
