Thanks. We have resv at the Doubletree Disney Springs....but 1.) not sure if they'll be open for our visit next week (first week of June) and 2.) didn't have too good of reviews. The Sheraton Vistana and Bonnet Creek also came up, ....any opinons on those?
Sheraton Vistana is nice. They are condo-like with nice kitchens and room to spread out. The complex itself is large. Some of the pools are large, while others are much smaller. I don't know how important pool time is, but if you plan to use one of the feature pools, you may or may not be close. I'd have my own car or plan to Uber to the parks if I stayed here. There is a complimentary shuttle, but it doesn't run as frequently as the DS hotels. But no resort or parking fee, and the rates can be quite low, especially if you hit it right on a site like Hotwire. No housekeeping.
Bonnet Creek is an area. There are two main options: Hilton and Wyndham
The Hilton Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria share a complex. Upscale with beautiful grounds and pools. The resort and parking fees can be quite high, though you can often score good hotel rates through 3rd party sites. The Hilton is 4-star, and Waldorf is 5-star and much more luxurious than Disney Deluxes. Both offer a good, frequent shuttle to the parks. Both HBC and WA offer the 60-day FP booking window and access to EMH.
Wyndham has timeshare condos in Wyndham Bonnet Creek, and a hotel, the Wyndham Grand. The condos have no resort or parking fees; the Grand has both, though they are less than at the Hilton. The Grand has complimentary shuttles to the parks; WBC allows you to use the shuttle but it's for a fee, and it would probably make more sense to Uber or have your own car. Both the Grand and WBC share a very nice, compact pool complex with slides, lazy rivers, mini golf, etc. Grand is a 4-star hotel; WBC is timeshares so no housekeeping.
Honestly, I'd stay at any of them.
