The last I've heard from everyone, due to the shutdown and the sketchy re-open, our currently booked ADRs are just going away and we all know it's coming and each morning we've been waking up and *poof* one or two more are gone....vanished into thin air...

I actually got an email this afternoon from Disney Destinations telling me that they had to cancel one of my ADRs - mind you that actually went away like 2 days ago....SHOCKING!

I wasn't sure if others had received an email like this yet...

Crazy times!

I just received a few of the same type e-mail message with the canceled reservation confirmation numbers. I did not receive one for each of the dining reservations that have been canceled. Still a few dining reservations remain on my MDE account.

Yep, I received a few of these today. I felt a small moment of excitement there might be news because it had the same subject line as the original emails from last Friday (Important Update to your Upcoming Reservation) but, nah, just what I already knew.

I got the same thing today for 2 Rainforest Cafe reservations that were cancelled a couple days ago.
UPDATE: Well everything is gone now. Hoping the $178 refund for the Epcot Forever dining show comes soon.

My ADRs were cancelled a few days ago. Just got the emails about 3 of them today.

No emails yet, but my MDE app, which I've had open all weekend to keep checking, pinged me five minutes ago. I knew what it meant.
All my ADRs, which were there at noon today, are now gone from My Plans--except a fireworks-timed ressie at La Hacienda in Epcot.

Disney wiped six ADRs from my end of July MDE page. But I have received no emails from them.

Wouldn't it be funny if they hit my credit card for all the missed meals?

Well, it's all over the Disney dining webpages that they are NOT charges no-show fees since they're cancelling the reservations - and I'm SURE if you received a no-show fee that it would be waived since they could tell by the date of the ADR that you weren't there!!

and Disney just cancelled my LAST ADR....that's so sad!! :guilty::guilty::guilty::guilty:

I thought about cancelling some of mine just to rip the bandaid instead of watching them slowly vanish, but I kept holding out some hope about that line in the email that reservations at "some third party restaurants" might not cancelled. So much for that. Also, if they going to screw up everyone's carefully made vacation plans, makes sense they should know I'm not cancelling voluntarily--its on Disney to do the cancellation. It's been obvious for a couple of months now that restaurant capacity was going to be limited, but did they change their booking algorithm to limit new bookings at the 180 day mark? Nope. They just kept letting people make reservations at the old rate.

I am really dreading the day they reopen restaurant bookings under the new system. It's going to be a shark frenzy with tons of website crashing, just like it was when they released Oga's/Savi's/Droid reservations for the first time.

I only voluntarily cancelled ONE ADR, and that was for Wine Bar George and that was because (1.) I had already moved my trip by a week so I knew it was fine and (2.) I could rebook it on Open Table and that would make me feel better..(and I'm glad I did it then bc the last time I looked it was now booked that night, either that or they've taken away some times to reduce bookings..

and I totally agree with you about the feeding frenzy when they open up ADRs - not only are the folks who have just missed their 60 day window but EVERYONE within the 60 day window who is going in the next few weeks. :crazy2:

and may be force be with us all! :darth:

For anyone's reference, Open Table is still accepting restaurants for some DS locations. I don't believe Homecoming is one of them, but for anyone interested! :)
Thank you for this! I was able to replace the Yachtsman with the Boathouse at the Springs (le sigh) through Open Table. It would not have occurred to me to even check that once the disney system said none available.

I cancelled our July 14 trip last Friday and just received 10 ADR cancellations over the last hour - 2 ''Ohana, B & C, Storybook , Pizzafari dinner, T-Rex, etc- wow, if our trip wasn't already cancelled, this would be one really depressing day !!!
