NYC Bermuda cruise

Something is DEFINITELY going on in Manhattan the 23rd-25th. I don't know what it is, but almost all the hotels have a 2-night minimum stay that night and the price jumps significantly from the 22nd. If I were you, I'd go ahead and book a hotel because I highly doubt the price will drop - I've been watching prices since last October.

We were their last year at that time after our TA cruise, the prices were crazy.
The hotel I wanted was $500 a night, we got the same hotel in January for $250 and it was a suite. The $500 was the basic room.
I know January is cheaper, but wow September is crazy. Its a beautiful time of year to visit though.
We ended up doing Priceline and managed to get The Archer for about $400. The room was smaller than our cabin on the cruise.

Best September Events in NYC
September marks the seasonal openings for some of the City’s most revered cultural institutions, including the New York City Ballet and Metropolitan Opera. Also returning are a slew of film festivals and annual events including the Brooklyn Book Festival, New York Fashion Week and Little Italy’s Feast of San Gennaro.

For us it ended up being the annual UN meeting. Roads closed, traffic crazy. So glad we went though.

Thanks! I'll look into them!

I'd suggest Hampton Inn. We stayed at the same Hilton mentioned above. Nice hotel, nice breakfast but WOEFULLY unhelpful with the transportation to the port and back. Needed two shuttle vans to head over. Both scheduled for 10 am. One arrived, but had a list of people for his van and was confused. 15 minutes later a second van showed up. One van left with 15 people, ours had 4 and they refused to even the load.

DO NOT trust the information flyer provided for the port to hotel return. 2 were scheduled, one for 8:30 or 9:00, the other for 11:00. First come first served. Early van NEVER showed, calls to hotel said to call the van company, van company said to call the hotel. Nobody cared. Contacted the hotel General Manager afterward and never received any reply.

The Hampton Inn has their own van and we saw it come and go at the port at least three times while we waited. Will never use that Hilton again.
