Resort Change by Disney

I am super excited for everyone who has successfully had their resorts changed with no upcharge. I am 5 hrs 50 minutes on hold. My original CM who is trying to get me through to GS comes on about every 5 or 6 minutes and lets me know we are still on hold. This is the TA line. I wish I could have called the regular line. Sounds like people are getting through faster there.

I think people are getting through faster on the regular line too and I told my husband I was bummed because I think if I would have gotten through sooner we may have gotten our Poly stay since others have reported them moving there.

I hope you get through soon. I don't think you were far behind me.

GS just answered. She is checking availability for me. If I were you, I would wait a few days and check back to see if they can move you to Poly after the dust settles. Can't hurt to ask.

It literally says on the website "Those currently traveling July 11 - December 31, 2020 may request assistance beginning Monday, June 22. "...

I even asked if I could modify and pay the difference in price but was told no.

I'm in the UK so maybe they are dealing with us differently to domestic guests. It's just frustrating seeing people being able to move. Anyone else in the UK had any luck?
 
I have a November reservation at All Star Music. Waiting for the wait times to slow down before calling, but it does show modify on My Disney Experience now. However, it is a price increase, so will wait to call.

What are your travel dates? That is very frustrating.
 
Was just able to use the change button online to move from POFQ to CBR , so if you can get in , I can confirm it’s live. I paid a small difference but it was a lateral move.
Thank you! I was just about to click on 'change reservation' but I'm calling anyway. Any change results in increased price so I'm not making any changes without talking to someone first :)

After I told her I’d like to keep my dates the same she transferred me to guest services because my reservation would be “rate protected, even if it’s a higher level resort” and that “they’re the ones that can help you with that.” No indi of wait time, but once she transferred me, it said welcome to the “help line.” Anyone else get the “help line?”

Yes, I got the help line too.
 
I have not yet reached the person to talk to on special team about changing. However, I remember seeing at least one post where someone stated that they had changed resorts today and that their park reservations were still in place.....It is probably on this thread somewhere??
It wasn't me, but I can confirm they stayed in place! I was kinda worried.

Was just able to use the change button online to move from POFQ to CBR , so if you can get in , I can confirm it’s live.
I can also confirm!
We had a FW Cabins stay with our WL split and I just was able to cancel it online.

Hmm weird- I looked at this and it said none of the hotels were available for the offer I booked with- (I think sun and fun?)

Either way still going to wait on the line for guest services! He said 45 minutes like an hour ago so hopefully they pick up soon
