Resort Change by Disney

We are arriving 7/9 and still don't know where we will be placed! Between myself and my TA, we spent 8 hours today on the phone. She is going to try again tomorrow 😞 Park reservations worked out today, but it's hard to get excited when you don't know where you are staying!
 
I am well aware. I am a professional and treat others as such. Not sure what exactly you think I would do.

We had two reservations directly impacted by covid closures and were not given options to rebook by disney. poor customer service.

two consecutive weeks in August. second was already moved by TA to Poly, but it turns out our resort will be open. we are extremely disappointed. Now trying to get the first week taken care of and clearly others were able to get similar resort and room categories. Disney know how many of each are booked and what they will need to move.
I feel for you as this situation is awful. I would be upset about being moved from BC/YC to Poly with no notice (and maybe no choice, I can’t remember your specifics) Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, with these hold times!) that falls to your agent’s responsibility, not disney’s. :guilty:

I’m on that agency’s mailing list too and have booked with them in the past and there is a trade off for getting their discounted rates that means their exclusive guests are part of a group booking and subject to the room block. If this had happened to me and I didn’t want the poly I’d certainly be on the phone with my agent asking them to make it right. I hope Disney does the same for your first week if that wasn’t being handled by an agent!!! I will definitely think twice about booking any room block discounts during this craziness.

I’m super happy for everyone getting free upgrades.. but we actually did pay for deluxe so I’ll be super bummed for myself if they’re gone 😔

I mean that the rooms that were deluxe that were for "recoveries" or people getting bumped, at least for the dates I had, are full.
 
Alright, well my from 7am to 7:30pm my saga has ended.
- GS was super nice, but couldn't find anything in Jambo available. I was moving from an AoA suite so she was trying to find something with one bedroom.
- She offered me 2 adjoining rooms at Pop, which I accepted (tentatively)
- She was unable to actually add the room because of the current "Modifications only" restriction. So now I have one room at Pop.

I'm tired and just wanted to hang up. It looks like I'll be cancelling.

I swear I’m not tying to be dense here 😂. Do you mean there were a limited amount of rooms “reserved” for value/mod guests who were being bumped at no cost, but there may still be more availability for deluxe to deluxe?

Yeah there are rooms available elsewhere that would work but they aren't approved to give out apparently. Kidani Villas show up for me but she checked and they wouldn't let her assign one to me. I mean, it would have been a lovely upgrade, but it was a lot more expensive than what I paid.

I don't know the limit. I was an Art of Animation suite and I wasn't "allowed" to have a 1 bedroom at Kidani, only Jambo which was sold out. I didn't really ask about deluxe to deluxe since AoA is value technically.
 
Just hit 5 hrs, still waiting.....
I have several reservations that I need to fix, but one of them is a Beach Club reservation 7/28-8/2. I hope they can put us somewhere. I don’t want to downgrade. We are a family of 5, hopefully they will have something for us.
 
I know we all have our favorite numbers we call but I always call 407.939.1936 and I am never re-routed to another cast member or guest services ever.
I have noticed when I chat online on MDE they always suggest that number also. I always screenshot what info they give me for later use. Good luck to everyone! :thumbsup2 :flower1:
