Disney World Reservation System -POST 1 FOR LINKS

AP holder here with resort stays booked, I was only able to book 3 parks this morning. Logged back on tonight to try the "delete all reservations and try rebooking to get more" idea, but it did not work for me. I still was only able to book 3. I did chat with a CM via computer earlier today and she logged a ticket for me and said they are working on it, but nothing yet. 😣

However the good news is that I didn't get any of the horrible wait screens that everyone was experiencing this morning.
 
I'm on hold after calling 800 848 6413. So far less than an hour on hold so from the looks of things I'm in for a longer wait.
Was on with them for an hour and 45 to abruptly be cut off. Just started a second call. This is giving me D23 anxiety all over again.
 
I just spoke with someone from DVC member services. She said one of the main issues is that the system sometimes has problems changing the AP regular access to a length of stay access. She also said IT was working on it but could not give CMs any estimates on when it would be fixed. She said it could be tonight or tomorrow. She recommended to keep periodically trying since it would be up probably without notice. She also mentioned that IT usually only notifies them once it's ALREADY up and running. At least the honestly is refreshing.
 
This is my problem! we can only have one day. It can be any day we want, but we can only have one and after that everything else is greyed out. We have 6 people. 3 have APs that would have been expired but got extended, 1 has a platinum AP voucher, and all 6 have 7 day PHs from the free dinng offer after our April reservation was cancelled. So we clearly all ahve tickets, most have 2 tickets.

But here is my question - what am I supposed to do???? I have tried to call 3 different IT numbers and have only gotten busy signals, told they aren't accepting calls, or simply just nothing like the call won't go through. I tried to chat and never got anyone to chat - plus I figure they won't be able to actually do anything anyway on chat. It is really upsetting sitting here watching people book, knowing we should have been done over 12 hrs ago, and hoping we get t book before the days really are all booked up!

I'm serious - what am I supposed to do? I can't even express how upset/irritated I will be if we don't get reservations after being ready and qualified to get them 15 min before they opened this AM.

I agree with everything in this post! I am in a similar situation - 7 day trip and just want 4 park days, can only book one with both tickets and AP -- and no one can help. T am very disappointed in Disney with this launch. I completely understand the problems, but it is frustrating and the days seem to be slipping away, while I try everything.
 
I was on hold for two hours. Finally got through to IT help. I am an annual passholder plus I have a three day park pass and I was unable to get park reservations. The other two members of my party were able to get reservations. The agent couldn't fix it and said well maybe you can call back in a couple of weeks or just go to the front gate and tell them the problem!! SERIOUSLY. I arrive July 20th SHE was clueless. What a complete waste of time. SOOO frustrated.
 
It's just so odd that some people are only able to get 3 days while some of us can get 6 or 7. I kind of get the excuse of not recognizing the resort reservation for the 3 day people but what is the reason for the rest of us?

Also I just tried again and it's still not working.
 
So I am on hold, and the cycled hold spiel informs me that I can book my theme park reservations on line without any wait, just choose park pass system-"it's that easy" :badpc::badpc:>:(>:(>:(>:(. To add even more insult to injury, I got an email this afternoon at 4:00 PM telling me it is time to book my theme park days. I"VE BEEN TRYING TO DO THAT SINCE 7:00 AM, THANKS DISNEY!

If we ran their website/rollout, what would we have differently?

I will start. . . I would have opened up the calendar for *only* July and August for guests who were
1. Staying at a resort and
2. Already have tickets

Why put eeeeeevvveryone in the same boat this morning?!
I agree that they should have spread it out, since they know their system crashes with much less activity than there was today. Personally, I would have come up with this as an option as soon as the parks closed, and run some testing on it, and had a backup plan in case of a major meltdown.

Disney is reactive when they should be proactive.
 
Has anyone not been able to rebook after they deleted reservations to try again--backwards or forwards? Had to go live my life, back again and still can only book half my stay.
 
How did you find the reservation process? I had to settle for selecting very difficult since they didn’t have a write in option to include more descriptive words......
I am not responding, yet. I want to see if this problem gets resolved by tomorrow.
 
I have felt this same powerlessness all day. I’m completely panicked that it is all falling apart, and no one from Disney is throwing me a lifeline. I’m ready to call it a night. If it’s not fixed in the am then I’ll probably just cancel. A vacation should not be this stressful
I canceled my summer trip a few weeks ago because I am a planner and with no information I could not handle the stress of keeping up with all the "latest news". So, I was okay because I still had a Thanksgiving trip planned, but this is a total nightmare. I have Thanksgiving Day ticket but then experienced glitches, so a 7 night Poly reservation with one park day.....sigh
 
For anyone still facing the issue of not being able to make park reservations for all of the days for your trip (and you aren't an AP holder), there is another flavor of the problem: Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Tickets.

I found that once I made a park reservation for the day I originally had MNSSHP tickets for, it would not longer let me make any reservations for the other days of my trip and I got the "One or more parks are not available for Disney Park Pass selections" message for every day on the calendar. What I did to solve this: canceled the park reservation for the former MNSSHP day, made reservations for every day except that day, and made the reservation for that day last. It worked!

Hope this helps someone else who has been struggling getting their reservations!!
