Have you ever misbehaved at Disney?

I think the vast majority of line cutters rely on the general good-naturedness and desire to avoid conflict of most people. 99 times out of 100 no one says anything to them. I love it when they do it and try to be in a total huff about it. Like to say, Look at me, I'm so angry right now... I dare you say something to me [as I cut in front of you].

Ya....I go full speed ahead towards conflict. It would have sucked for them.
But I don’t disagree with you. In fact, my best friend avoids conflict or any sort of confrontation like the plague.

Unfortunately, my wife and I are the same as your friend. My wife more than me. She thinks very badly of the line cutter(s), but keeps mum about it. At our long Epcot Frozen line we had a line cutter who was very drunk and just so dang blatant about it. He had girlfriend or young wife in hand. We had seen our share of people backtracking out of the line to use the bathroom or what have you and when they later return past you, you recognize them and it's cool. This couple was brand new to our 80 minute wait.

Everyone was letting them past. I had to say something about the line as they went past us and the flurry of anger thrown in my direction... did make me back down and regret the confrontation. Why would I reasonably go into this here with 1,000 of my closest friends around, so cramped and so jammed into winding lines?

They faded into the sea of human backsides and I have no idea how they fared closer to the front of the line.

The last Disney trip I took I took with my ex husband was to Disneyland. I’m a type A planner with spreadsheets and trip plans. I also have mobility issues and had not yet let myself start using wheelchairs in the park. So we were crisscrossing all over the park because my ex would go for the shortest line, even if it was across the park. I was tired, hot, and in a lot of pain. We were heading towards one ride when he wanted to go someplace else because of a low wait time and we had a fastpass coming up on the side of the park we were already in. I kind of unloaded on him in the middle of Pixar Pier. I had just had it with his total lack of consideration for me and I was done just going along with him to avoid making waves. It solidified my desire to get out.

I think I’d call that behaving.

Our first trip with kids, ages 3,5 and 9 at the time, they were so verbally mean to each other and pushing each other at the end of day 2 of 3 that I screamed and yelled and yelled at them in the elevator to just stop it and that if we ever got back home I would NEVER bring them again! They are now 32, 34, and 39 and I have been back with them 7 more times. Only once, when the girls were 13 and 15, (and generally hard to deal with most of the time!) did I have that same thought! I l smirk to myself now seeing them handle melt downs with their own kids!

Whenever I stay at Bay Lake Tower I look out onto that Island and always want to do a night operation out there and go check it out...... but I think there are some pretty serious consequences for that so i'll stick to day dreaming about it!

And hey, we all have to deal with melt downs! Just part of the magic!

I lost my room at Saratoga. We walked back from DS and I knew knew knew the number, except I didn’t and it was 2AM and we’d had a drink or two, so we’re not exactly at our best. A Disney employee on a golf cart appeared and was able to determine our room and then agreed to give us a ride!!

We rope dropped 7DMT and got in line at about the 40 minute mark. No breakfast with a 4 year old... I left them in line and ran to get a giant cinnamon roll and coffee (to share) from Gaston’s while we waited... When I got back I had to cut in front of dozens of Brazilians to catch up with my gang. So worth it. Loved that cinnamon roll.

Family screaming matches: Check
Accidentally drinking a little too much in line for Frozen Ever After and scandalizing families with small children: Check
Light trespassing: :rolleyes1

On our trip last year in March we had lots of short tempers and remarks. Nothing really bad or wrong but irritating. It was 2 of my sisters and I taking our niece and nephew. I did all of the planning with little help. One of those "whatever you plan will be fine" deals then complaining when we get there. We had for force my nephew on some rides and to take some pictures. The others changing plans then telling me. In retrospect we had a bad trip on the way to Orlando and we never recovered the whole week. First the second flight was cancelled due to weather and I was told the next available flight wasn't until 2 days later. I managed to get us on another flight later that day but that ended up being delayed for a few hours so we didn't land in Orlando until after 2AM. By the time we got to the resort and in our room it was getting light out. We tried to grab a little nap but only the kids actually fell asleep. After that it was go, go, go the rest of the week. We were exhausted when we arrived and even more exhausted when we left. Then to top it off that was the week that there were massive floods in the midwest that we went home to.

Yes, I've lost my temper a few times. Not yelling or being mean to CMs or anything extreme, but an observer could have told that I was really frustrated. Moments like those teach me to go with the flow a bit more. I'm not perfect, though. I do have a temper at times.

There is a home video of me having a tantrum and hitting my dad when I was 8. We were walking into the Yacht Club for dinner, and I was whining and crying. My dad, who was filming, said "Anna is mad because she wanted a piece of white bread before dinner, and we said no." I was mad that he said that and hit him and continued pouting until I got my dinner. I was probably just really hungry, but I'm sorry I hit him.

Being 'hangry' at Disney has been the reason for most of our bad behaviour too. Kids and parents alike!!

I've learned and now always keep snacks with us, especially ones with some protein in them! They make a huge difference!!

I left my rental car at the POLYNESIAN to re-enter MK for the evening. I did have a ADR at Kona first, so I didn't lie to the security guard, but still.....
