After watching It yesterday and Shawshank Redemption today, I starting thinking of all Stephen King's stories that were made into movies. So what are your top 3 Stephen King movies? I know there are a lot of choices, but I can only put 9 in the poll, so please post if your favorite(s) isn't listed.

Definitely Shawshank and then the Green Mile (not in your poll) with Misery coming in at #3. I don't even pay attention to King's work anymore but The Stand, Talisman and The Eyes of the Dragon are some of my favorite novels every.

green mile if I need to cry.....shawshank to measure my stupidity....I always though Gump was the better film...but gump was beer and shawshank wine. mighty fine wine.

misery.....uh Kathy Bates and my wife were twins separated at birth...took awhile for that painful comparison to leave

Best story: "Misery" and the scene with the block of wood, just akkkkk.

Most unnerving: Read "IT" when I was a teen, can't bring myself to watch the movie.

Creepiest: Without a doubt "Carrie" the scene in the closet was just 100% yikes.

I had Green Mile in the poll when I started, but when I realized I could only put 9 movies in I took it out. I remember the book came out in installments, a couple chapters once a month. I really liked the book, but never saw the movie.

A mini series actually..
11/23/63.. stars James Franco
he jumps back and forth from present Maine to 1963 the week of JFK being killed. Time travel
I saw the 1st episode on a flight and loved it, but I don't have Hulu so I never saw the rest.

Love Misery! So tense! Loved the Shining (I loved both versions) also and Salem's Lot. Even his bad stuff is still good in an inventive cheese kind of way.

From your list I chose Misery. I became a Kathy Bates fan because of that movie.

Years ago DH and I had just started watching The Stand. My dad calls, I tell him we’re watching a movie and I’ll call him back “in an hour or so.” Well seven hours later… 🤣 DH had put it on and I did not realize it was a mini series marathon type of thing.

I haven't seen the 1979 version, but really like the remake with Rob Lowe.

It amazed me how it was shown on national television (I think CBS) on two consecutive Sunday nights. I was terrified then and it still ranks as the scariest movie for me.

New Line Cinema is supposed to be making a newer movie based on the same novel.
