Foods not to eat at DL

Corn dog... well for me it's similar to the monte Cristo.. the batter can be sometimes too much. First bite is great but after a few... for those that have a lite stomach.... can't handle it unless I'm sharing.
And they are not as good as they once were. I think they changed the "dog" to a turkey dog (20 - 25 years ago) to make them "healthier." It's a breaded and fried hot dog - nothing you do will make it healthy.

Any frozen beverage- the paper straws make them taste warm when they get to your mouth
Paper straws are just gross.

turkey leg ..... gross
pizza from pizza planet .... really bad
yes, the grey stuff...... ?? what IS it ?? (besides gross)
only good hamburger we've had was at Storyteller's Cafe. haven't been back since they went to all buffet. hamburgers in the rest of the park.... ugh....

Mickey Pretzels...and all the pretzels resort wide for me.

I absolutely LOVE a good soft pretzel but the all DL pretzels are blah and doughy IMO.

Also the Blue and Green Milk at SWGE. Got to try some during a private preview party and sure glad I didn't have to pay to discover it was awful.

There's so many things I could list, it would probably take up a whole page. I think I'll just list the ones that I took one bite and that was too much. Yes, I am one who will throw out something rather than force myself to eat it.
Turkey leg
Flavored Churro
The cheese only version of Monte Crisco
Chicken Skewer at Bengal BBQ - used to eat them all the time, then they turned into some kind of mushed up chicken product
Scrambled eggs(?) from Flo's - they don't resemble scrambled eggs in look, texture or taste
Any colorful dessert at Jolly Holiday

This is kind of 'niche' I guess because I'm gluten free, but the 'allergy dog' at Refreshment Corner is absolutely disgusting. It had a very odd texture, almost rubbery. I ordered one once because I was starved and needed something fast but it was so terrible I ended up throwing the actual hot dog away and eating only the bun.

I don't know if it's the same hot dog they serve to everyone or if it was a different 'allergy free' special one. Honestly, I don't think I've ordered a hot dog at DL since I went GF so I really have nothing to compare it with.

As far as the burgers, if you have dietary restrictions the burgers are terrific because they're made separately 'to order' instead of being part of a continual 'assembly line'.

Say no to:
Chimichangas
Turkey legs
Any cupcakes
Fried cheese on a stick (I haven't tried this. Just the thought of it upsets my stomach).

The only thing I think I would never eat even if you gave it to me for free is some of the candy at the Candy Palace. I also don't like the almond cookies they have during Lunar New Year.
Most of the other stuff I could eat but wouldn't pay for or know there's better options.

1. the pretzels that aren't character shaped. Either get the character shaped one for the Instagram pic or just go to Wetzels Pretzels in DTD.
2. turkey leg. There's much better meat based snacks in the park.
3. potato soup in a sourdough bread bowl. Not a fan of the bread bowls and of all the things that can go in the bread bowls at Disneyland, this is my least favorite.
4. colored milk at Galaxy's Edge. The taste is alright but it's way too overpriced.

Any frozen beverage- the paper straws make them taste warm when they get to your mouth
Since the switch to paper straws, I now keep a bottle with individually wrapped plastic bendy straws in my Disney bag. I know of Annual Passholders who will leave the park to eat/drink if they forgot to pack plastic straws that day.

Had a Monte that was terrible and didn't have another for several years. Then my wife got one and it was great!
We tried the corn dogs about 6 years ago and it was utterly disgusting and didn't have much flavor. Greasy beyond comparison - I swear I could have wrung it out. I was so bad that we took a couple of bites and tossed them in the trash. Maybe if you routinely eat greasy, fatty food they would be more appealing but they did nothing for us.

My husband and I came up with

giant cookies, especially the Mickey head ones

Jalepeno cheese stuffed pretzels

Frozen bananas and frozen lemonades- so hard to eat! Like a brick!

Rice Krispie treats need a little squeeze test first. If it’s hard, put it back!

No. This is amazing. It is like a grilled cheese sandwich.
I wish I had tried it when I was younger. I'm sure I would have liked it. Even the over-the-top milkshakes, which I would've gobbled down in a heartbeat, make me feel sick now.

The over the top milkshakes make me sick too. Just give me a standard chocolate milkshake from Ghirardelli any day.

I don't snack a lot at the parks, but, have been known to share a turkey leg or two for lunch. I like smoked meats so this is good for me, but, we don't walk and eat with a drummie full of meat caveman style.

Most of what people have said here are things I'd never even be tempted to buy in the parks. No hot dogs, burgers, pretzels for me. Too much margin for error. I have definitely had rice krispie treats somewhere along the line and thought they were delicious. No surprise because I think Disney marshmallows for camp fire s'mores are the very best anywhere.

For those of you trying and then discarding 'new' things because they're 'yuck', BFF and I usually buy ONE of something new to try out. If we like it we get another one. If not, we aren't out double.
I usually go to the parks with some of my friends. This is exactly what we do! Saves money and cuts down on food waste.
