News Round Up 2020

It is in the nature of people to come together. The Spanish Flu was followed by the roaring 20’s. This won’t have the long lasting impact on human behavior that many think.
Yup, it's biggest affect will be accelerate trends that were already occuring. And will further consolidation of industries.

It doesn't hold any weight to them replacing the monorail loop around MK. Yes, it's said to be expensive to maintain, but way more expensive to rip out and replace. The walk from GF and Poly is too far to force people to do it, and I honestly think that a lot of the charm of these resorts is the monorail. Poly becomes a lot less fun to stay at if I have to take a bus to MK. (Or even the boat option.) I could see the Epcot Monorail stop running at some point, but even then it would be a huge investment to take out those pilons. Most likely scenario is extension of the Skyliner if they decide they want to get rid of more buses. Run a line that goes DHS - Coronado- AK - AKL

I could see the college football playoff being an item they would want to maximize value for and would probably get a receptive audience from the conferences as schools look for ways to generate extra income with limited attendance.
College basketball?

I know their PR folks work hard to make things sound better than reality might be, but the use of the word "exhilarating" here seems a bit much

"other exhilarating pool and recreation offerings will remain open for your enjoyment—including Flippin’ Fins Pool, Cozy Cone Pool and the Schoolyard Sprayground. "
Well, In January, they all could be very exhilarating!

I enjoy going out once a week to eat and drink. Especially if NHL is on. My comment is more on that more and more people really like to stay in and look at the same 4 walls everyday.

People here eat out a lot, and going to the movies is huge. However, we are home to Alamo Drafthouse, which is a bit more unique of a movie experience. Live music is really big here too. Outdoor activities have always been popular here. I saw hikers and mountain bikers behind our house in the neighborhood a lot before Covid, and I see even more now. I don't really see people staying at home that much, except a bit more now, obviously. Families are more likely to stay home, just because of the costs. We used to go to the movies at least once a month and sometimes every week pre-Covid. We still eat out a few times a week from restaurants, not just fast food, but we get it to go now. Plus, many of our restaurants can sell you a mixed drink to go if it's sealed up properly.

My guess is for reasons that I wanted to see this in a movie theater. Animation almost always plays better on the big screen for me the first time and this movie’s music was put together by Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails which I wanted to hear with the full movie theatre audio experience.

I am hoping that they will re-release some of these movies in slower seasons in the next few years. I really wanted to see it in the theater too. Trent Reznor is one of my favorite musicians. I love the work he and Atticus have been doing.
