Fastpass return or replacement?

The thing I really don’t like is that a lot of e tickets will be excluded, but assuming there is a free virtual queue, I think if you plan appropriately it won’t be a problem. Wanna do avatar? Ok, get in the virtua queue for that right before lunch. Much to my own disbelief, I think I can work with this.
But is there such a thing? I don't see that in the announcement.

Haven’t finished the end of the 14 minute video but haven’t see any indication that you can pay for ROTR and Remy. Are those being included on L+ hypothetical at this point. Is it possible they’ll stay VQ only?

Anyone want to guess how much those individual attractions rides will be? I can live with the $15 per day (since I have no choice but to do standby all day) but it's the other that scares me. Seeing as it will only be 2 per day for the best rides I don't see them being on the cheap side. Especially when cost will fluctuate based on park, popularity of ride and time of year.

It’s been confirmed outside the original announcement, I believe. Several reporters have confirmed it since, at least for RotR.

There will still be standby for all rides except ROTR and Remys. Those 2 rides you will either be able to purchase or get a BG.
But Boarding Groups will still be a thing? However, if you don’t get a BG, there should be an option to purchase a Lightning Pass at a premium?

Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. But as long as people pay, Disney will continue to find new ways to separate people from their money. And people ARE going to pay for this. While it could possibly fail, going back to the way it was is extremely unlikely. Once a new revenue source is found, that faucet is likely to be turned off or even down. They might just adjust the pressure/flow. (maybe a bad analogy sorry).

Take for example the NHL. Last year they added ADs on the helmets as a "Temporary revenue source during this difficult time with no ticket revenue." While this year ticket revenue is expected to be back, and they have announced not only will ADs continue to be on helmets, but they will add them to the jerseys as well.

Once the genie is out of the bottle... (Sorry, felt like I had too)
Believe me, once FP+ was stopped I knew we would have to pay for the new way. But now the tiering has changed to families paying this much for these rides and more for these rides etc. and hoping they can get the ride they want. I would have much rather paid $15 per day per ticket for my 3 FP+ rides, with better tiering than they had before, so I know we had rides already set for that day. Plus, now it makes families like ours who like to have a relaxing vacation and sleep in some days, have to get up at the crack of dawn so we do not get shutout, like the old FP days.

That is my understanding. Disney announced today that Remy will have a VQ just like ROTR, so that seems to imply that both will use BGs.

I think there’s a CHANCE that you don’t have to get up at 7. We won’t know till people start using it, but there’s a chance that one result of the system is that something like SDD is still available 10am.

maybe im mistaken, I really thought that was part of it. If it’s not then I take back literally everything I said, lol. Without virtual standby the whole thing sucks.
The only rides that will have the virtual queue are ROTR and Remys. All other rides will either be standby or LL, with LL either being through Genie+ or with the additional charge.

Truth be told, anyone I see pushing this as a good thing I suspect is probably a poster with an agenda, either they work for Disney or are paid to try to push a message by the same. I can understand those who aren't up in arms over this change but those promoting it as a good thing is beyond my comprehension right now.
Piggybacking my own post, I couldn't even get through the panel portion of the 14 minute video. As soon as I saw that all the panelists were nodding along in agreement I knew better than to expect any critical analysis, they appeared to be there because they were "yes men" who either would completely agree with the presenter or, worse IMHO, pose questions designed to allow him to spin any concerns people might have about the new system.
