Magic Key Program

I feel like I read somewhere that these were only for CA residents but hopefully I am remembering that wrong!

I thought it was just the payment plan restricted to CA residents. The only thing I remember reading about the welcome package was that it would be mailed to those who purchased their magic keys during the first 66 days of sales.

With the flex pass, if both parks were available then it was automatically a hopper reservation, you didn't have to make 2 separate ones. If only one park was available then you could choose to only have that park. I think what you are seeing is a wide open calendar. If too many people choose DL as their first park, they may limit a day to DCA entry only, as they already seem to be doing this Saturday. So it will happen, you just don't see it yet.

With Flex pass, you had three choices if they were all open: DCA, DLR, or park hopper. You did not have to choose your starting park with a park hopper. It sounds like the Magic Key reservation system is different, in that you can’t choose just one park.

From what I can tell, a hotel reservation will get you access to that bucket regardless of ticket type.
Can you tell if you must have a ticket in your account before making a reservation. I’m the one that has vouchers. Also there are a lot of people that will have expired tickets upcoming. If I book a hotel with no tickets in, can I make a reservation using the hotel bucket?

I read on facebook that only 1 gift card can be used. I have a stack of gift cards as that is how I normally pay for my APs. I was planning to take them to the ticket booth to use to buy the AP (or maybe buy a 1 day ticket and then upgrade it to the AP. Now I don't know what to do? I know there used to be a site to combine gift cards. Does anyone know if that is still available?
I’m behind on the thread and someone probably already responded. You can combine your gift cards up to $1000 at Disney gift card.com.

Yes, you need an active ticket your account to make a park reservation. This applies also if you have a hotel reservation, you must also have a ticket to book a park reservation in the hotel bucket.

So does the progress bar actually indicate how close you are to the end of the queue or is it just for looks?

For me that bar filled completely. Drops under the hour marker and give minutes around a quarter or less of that bar. Did move bit faster after half way. Mine was just over 5 hours. Then transferred to purchase. That went great.

It does actually move. If you are able to go back in this thread to find the inspect element instructions you can see how close to 100% it actually is.

Just got ours and I have a session with 7 mins left in wait time... don't know how it works to transfer but if anyone's interested, let me know quickly!

Has anyone had any luck upgrading partially used tickets? My app says my ticket may be eligible for upgrade to a magic key, go to the ticket window for more info.

Always confused me too, and Disney is a huge company- I'll don't understand why their launch days never go smoothly. Even for smaller events with just a few thousand guests still have outrageous queue system.
It's not their priority. In front /on stage , they will look PERFECT..... IT or off stage , ' why spend the money ' is the attitude.

Help. I am connected, but I don't see an option for a payment plan. I am a California resident, I am at purchase screen and I see no option for a payment plan. Did I miss something?
