STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

Yes - at least going by the parameters for the Remy and Galaxy’s Edge previews.

Oops - this was in response to if it had to be an active pass

Okay, so got a wait time of 14 minutes....music playing for about 30min, then it just stopped. All I am getting is a lone buzzing tone. Not sure if I should hang up and try again or just wait.

Does anyone know if you can use the 86 points for the extra passenger? I don't have enough for 1st and 2nd adult.

you let us know, too!
Will do --
Disney/DVC has inspired my next in-home renovation.
I either need to install a toilet in my office, or add a computer to the downstairs bathroom.
I usually put these types of calls on my land-line so I can use the speaker phone hands free, and still have access to my cell phone & computer.
A 3-hour wait, and a few cups of coffee, are now making me reconsider that approach! :earboy2:

I have read that when booking Disney cruises with DVC points, when DVC points are required to book at least one passenger, you can use points for one of the lower-cost passengers and pay cash for the more expensive ones. MTFBWY!

We are on silent hold too! Called in right at 7 and got to the screener around 8:20…now just some random static on the line. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

If that's true - couldn't someone book a third person at the 86 points, and then not bother to have that person actually show up - so you only waste 86 points, and not get gouged for the 391 points ?? If so, that might be my strategy, tomorrow, if this silent phone call I'm on ends unfavorably.

Has anyone booked with DVC yet? We got through and we're trying to book a group of 14. We figured we'd get three rooms and use points for one person in each room as we had 5 DVC owners in our group. The cash for everyone else was going to be over $5200 per person! A far cry from the pricing they originally posted online. I guess booking through DVC unless you have enough points for everyone is not worth it.

I'm on attempt #34 to get through on the DVC line. For anyone curious, on post #129 of this thread I'm keeping a tally of my attempts. It might make you feel better about how you're spending your time!! BWhahaha!

Maybe - I have no information about what would happen if one person didn’t show up! Maybe ask that question on the DVC Member Services or Mousecellaneous forums, since my information is based on booking DVC Member cruises.

Vouchers were enough to book AP preview for GE despite written info to the opposite

What would you get if you rented 86 points? $1000 ? You're willing to "spend" that much for the privilege of booking a few days earlier. Book with a Disney visa

KUDOS to DVC DOC
My "greater than 60 minute wait" is now at 62 minutes....... 🤞
Good luck to all! I live vicariously thru you!

As for DOC….easier to invest 7 hours and $12k when it’s your job and you can write it off!:worship:

I’mma just put this out there….any all y’all got DVC points to book this, I wanna be your new best friend!:love1:

Ok so...I have this number to Disney that was given to me to call if I ever have any problems. I have only used it once before today....but today I called because I just wanted to vent about my experience. I explained what happened in a very nice way...and the CM told me that they did not expect to have this many people calling from every which way. She said it has crashed the entire phone system for all reservations. She said social media from websites to twitter accounts made it seem like everyone with any AP could call and get thru to book Galactic Starcruiser. She also said that you do need a code to book and so many people are just tying up the system that it has been crazy.

We had a good chat for about 15 mins, she asked for my information, asked for my code and then put me on hold for about 5 mins....she came back and said a member of the Starcruiser team will be calling me back. She said she didn't know when...but someone will call.

So we shall see....

But I will keep trying anyway, cause I am impatient like that....lol
