STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

I find it irritating that the solo adult traveler costs the same as two adults when they'd have booked the same room for an adult and a child for less. But so be it. I'm not going alone anyway. But I do have to wait until 10/28 to book since I'm trying for the 6/1 voyage. Will everyone please make sure they keep a room on that date set aside for me?
Disney will correct this pricing mistake. Child pricing will only be applicable to 3rd and 4th in a cabin

It’s actually the 9th (Saturday), but your point is still valid for the OP.
Yes you are correct, even if Saturday doesn’t work out for me. We have somewhat flexible dates (8 different options)… does anybody have a feel for whether this is going to be completely sold out with pre order only?

I believe the email said there were only a limited number of cabins available in the presale, so the presale cabins may sell out for a given date, but not the entire ship.

While this makes sense, they sure went to a lot of trouble to create a pricing scheme for children as the second guest. I'd like to think that the correction would be to allow the solo traveler to go for the rate of an adult and child. But again, this really doesn't mean anything to me. My room will have 2 adults, so I'll be paying that rate.

Three weeks until I can book (and experience wait times in the hundreds of minutes).

I want to do this but my husband has dementia and I dont think he could get into it and I dont want to pay all that money and not enjoy it with him. all he want to do is go to the star Wars park so I guess staying here is out for us...:guilty:

Last time I called DVC they were just sending anyone calling for the Starcruiser to hold I was just told I have 724 minute wait time left

Updated experience:
7:03 am dialed in to (407) 939-5277, which was one of the numbers in my email.
8:00 am got through to the screener, who then put me into the silent queue.
1:00 pm call was answered to start my reservation.
1:22 pm call was completed.

We got our first choice of dates (all 3 were still available). We did have an AP code on file, and I mentioned that we did not get an email with it. We have second dining, and our Captain’s table is reserved for our first night. We are two adults.

Also, we have instructions to log into MDE, search for Galactic, and finish steps 2-6 since she already completed step 1. Final deposit due 2/1/2022. We did add price protection as well.

AP line now has a recording at the start that says “we will be unable to complete your booking at this time” - I’m guessing that message will stay in place until the booking line reopens? I’ve waited on hold twice since that message was added and both times the call was answered relatively quickly with the response that booking was closed, so not sure I’ll wait again until that message is removed….

Don't try to call the main disney number to get to book Starcruiser right now either, as it is almost a two hour wait to be told the Starcruiser line is full and they aren't transferring right now and call back later.

may I ask what are the steps you mentioned? 1-6?

I logged in to check. Step 2 is online check-in, another step is to book additional activities (Droid Depot and Savi’s), and the rest seemed to be informational.

ah ok, thanks. That is what was explained to me as well. Booking any activities in Galaxies Edge (Hollywood Studios), we would need to either do on our own the normal way - starting 60 days out, or call in to the Galactic Starcruiser phone line to have them help, but given the long wait times for people booking, probably better off doing it ourselves.

Omg! finally booked!! Kevin booked us on an early March sailing. Unfortunately the captains table was all booked and we only got a cozy cabin but we are a couple, so that’s ok.

here’s what our timeline was:
7am sharp, got on hold with a glitch sound for a few minutes, then music and an announcement of over a 2 hour wait
8:19 am, got the pre-sceen
8:30 am, put on hold with music and an announcement about an over 2 hour wait, which then went completely silent
took a shower
blow dried my hair and stopped every few seconds to check the line
made eggs and tea
cancelled dentist appointment (lied about emergency)
1:53 pm the phone rang mid bite of egg and then Kevin cheerily answered and booked me and fielded my million questions.
2:12 pm we are booked!

I hope everyone else gets thier bookings! I hope to see some of you there, and I hope we have fun people seated with us!! We like a party.

edited to add: I forgot to mention my few my tries to get through on a second phone, which were all in vain, as I was turned away from holding, like others have mentioned!

Why are some allowed to hold as long as they want and end up getting to book, with or without an email code? while others (me) who called literally exactly when the phone # was activated are told the booking line is closed after waiting 2hr. Can someone please help me understand the inconsistency? Beyond frustrated...
