New Pre-Arrival Video Chat Registration for Disability Access Service Program Now Live

The pre-arrival video chat option for registering for the “new” Disability Access Service is now live. Guests wishing to complete the pre-arrival video chat can visit the Disability Access Service website at the link below to request a live video chat.

According to the FAQ, doesn't include any of the IA$ rides for the 2 per day advanced reservations (Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest, Seven D, Space Mountain, Remy’s or Frozen Ever After). I sure hope you can still get DAS return times for those rides when you're in the park. :worried:

I have never booked a single night stay at Disney World. I don't anticipate ever doing so, but for some reason this really annoys me.

In 30 years, I’ve done it only twice. Once, when we decided to add a day to the beginning of our trip to take a late flight in, and our original resort wasn’t available. And once, at the end of our trip when our flight home was canceled and we couldn’t fly out until the next day.

It is the second scenario I worry about more. It was always nice to know that you could stay an extra day at Disney if you had flight issues. Now I guess the only option in that case is grab a room offsite.

I think adding a day on the front or back end of an existing onsite stay, although technically a single day, would be something Disney would let anyone do if there was availability. You would have to call to make the change though.

Can you make an appointment now for the 30 day mark or only start to apply 30 days before your trip?

We've often booked single nights. Mostly for splits (e.g. in January, we did our last night at Contemporary after staying at Coronado), but also when passing through to see family in other parts of Florida. We like to do a little Disney along the way, sometimes one night, sometimes two.

From the DAS page on Disney's website:
Pre-Arrival via Live Video Chat
Eligible Guests now have the option to pre-register virtually with a Cast Member via live video chat between 2 to 30 days in advance of a park visit."

I interpret that to mean you can initiate the chat no earlier than 30 days prior to your trip and up to 2 days prior to your trip. The Request Live Video Chat button is on that web page.
