In reading the sizing chart and my waist size it would seem I need to order a skirt considerably larger than I typically buy. Do they really run that small? I thought I read that there was some elastic at the back of the waist as well, so I would think that might also help with forgiveness in fitting. I would typically order a large in something like this, but the sizing chart seems to indicate I'd need a 2X. That's a big difference. Thanks for any information on this and sorry if the info is already in this thread. I tried to do a search but wasn't successful in finding what I wanted.

At this time, I personally have not purchased an item from Loungefly's Stitch Shoppe but hope to change that soon.
So, like you I searched to see what I could find:
1.) Here is a blog review of one woman's experience:

2.) My takeaway after reading a few other reviews- follow the sizing chart
3.) Contact customer service and communicate your concerns before purchasing: Loungefly- Contact or cs@loungefly.com
4.) Return Policy- FAQ Don't know about you but I hate having to pay return shipping when a purchase doesn't work out. I was reading Loungefly/Stitch Shoppes return policies and
my understanding is they will pay for return shipping on "apparel" (not on accessories). I'm usually willing to take a chance with free return shipping😂🤣😂 but that's me. You have to make the right decison for yourself.

"All apparel must be returned unused and in original packaging with all original tags attached and must include the enamel pin with the garment in order to qualify as a return.
Please email CS@loungefly.com with your order number and reason for return, and we will provide a shipping label. The cost of return shipping will be covered by Loungefly."

Did you reach the same conclusion? Of course you may wish to verify the free return shipping for apparel with customer service.
Sorry I wasn't more helpful... let us know how it goes.

Same, I love the idea but she doesn't look like Ariel to me. There is something off with this whole line, I wanna like it and I feel like I should like it but there is always something that falls short. Crossing fingers for Belle and Rapunzel.
