We've never been here. But hear its great. Recommendations?

Thigh High Chicken Biscuits: three biscuits topped with Chef Art's famous fried chicken thighs and bread and butter pickles. Drizzled with hot honey.

It's on the appetizer menu - great for sharing or potentially enough to have as an entree (that's what I do) with a side of fries if I'm extra hungry. These are absolutely delicious. Also really liked the fried green tomatoes and fried chicken sandwich. I haven't had it but have heard their burger is incredible. Also, if you enjoy an adult beverage, they have some really creative cocktails. Enjoy!!

ok thanks! I'm not sure if I want to spend that kind of money on fried chicken quite yet, I may have to think about it.

This is what I do too. With the thighs and fries it is a LOT of food, I can't finish it, but we take a go-box and finish it later. I'll second the suggestion for the fried green tomatoes, and the desserts are nice too.

Everything! Country fried steak, cheese biscuits, salads, fried chicken....Its all delicious! Go easy on the moonshine though. It'll sneak up on you!

How probable is it to get a walk up reservation at opening for brunch? I couldn’t get a reservation here when my adr window opened and I know sometimes it’s due to MDE being wonky about the amount of people you’re trying to get a reservation for.

Homecomin' does seem to hold back tables for walk ups. While we've never tried to get in without a reservation, every time we've gone and are waiting for our table I overhear quite a few people who are just walking up and getting on the list. You might need to wait a bit, but you should get in. I'd recommend getting there as close to opening as possible though. Their brunch is wonderful. I'd certainly wait for it.

Edited to add: While walk ups are possible, I'd still keep trying for a reservation. Things open up as it gets closer to your trip. Reservation finder services also really work well. Touring Plans has a free one. I've used another one with great success, but the last time I mentioned it on here, I got the dreaded asterisks on my post indicating that wasn't allowed, so I better not do that again :) .

Oh, and as for the OP's question, my favorites are the thigh high chicken biscuit appetizer (usually order it as an entree) at dinner and the Hallelujah biscuit at brunch. Homecomin' has kind of ruined me for fried chicken anywhere else. Their's is just so good!

Fried Chicken is the best. The Hummingbird cake is great. Overall the place is great. You won't be disappointed at all.

You NEED to get the fried chicken it’s amazing and what they are famous for. The Arts famous chicken entree is pricey but it’s almost impossible for one person to eat it all. Split it with someone and you’re all set!

Easily the fried chicken and the deviled eggs. *Drool*

I really enjoyed the mac and cheese as well....very cheesy! The chicken was so delicious, as everyone says. Fun place!

Catfish - I liked it un-breaded which my spouse thought was sacrilegious but I'm not a fan of breading.

Oh my I forgot about the Mac and cheese. Soooo goood. Mash potatoes are amazing and I love the cheesy grits there too!

Oddly enough, I fell in love with their green beans. Unfortunately, the last time I went they'd been taken off the menu and replaced with succotash. (The succotash was good, but not as good as the succotash at Paddlefish. Go figure.)
