Boarding the Fantasy Tomorrow

Just off the Fantasy today. Will be very interested to hear how this next sailing goes.

My "kids" just need one event each day. If anyone can help me know what time on each day they had bingo that would be HUGE! (It's for my 78yr old parents) Any recent cruisers below have any day they remember bingo? Can those on the ship now tell me daily? Pretty please?

Hello, my family boards the Fantasy tomorrow. (January 2, 2022).
I am on board the Fantasy.
Just debarked the Fantasy today.
I am sailing today as well.
Just off the Fantasy today.

On board Fantasy now. 4:51EST. Still tied up but getting ready to sail. Testing and boarding process was super smooth. Cabanas lunch was solid. Have not confirmed passenger count yet. Feels light. We have done 15 Disney cruises. The energy level just feels a little lower. Will try to check in here from time to time. Glad to answer questions. I was glad to have some insight from those folks on the previous sailing.

Bingo on Fantasy was at 11 and 4 on at-sea days. Sometimes at 4 on other days. You had to line up around 45 min before to get a seat at some of the sessions.

Could you let me know when bingo would be daily? I sail the Fantasy on the 8th and I want to cancel my tastings for 5 people on days that conflict with Bingo. I think I only have 3 more days to cancel and not be charged.

So twice? Interesting! Maybe I can do more than I hoped.

There were 8 sessions on our cruise. One was an impromptu addition when St. Thomas was cancelled. For the other 7 sessions - I believe there were 3 days with 2 sessions each and 1 day with only one session scheduled.

What...what.... umm, what do you mean?

I'm curious to see if things open up a bit more than on the last cruise or if lack of staff and extra covid measures, reduced activities, and closed kids clubs continue. Hopefully this sailing has better covid luck than the 12/26 cruise.

We played bingo once. I want to say it was at noon or 1pm, and they had it at least 3 days. It may have been every day, but I’m not sure.

I really appreciate all of the info. We are scheduled for the February 5th sailing of the Fantasy and can’t wait to hear more about these next few sailings. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the info. We sail in two weeks. A little sad about the indoor photos requiring masks. Wanted to get a nice family formal night photo.

They don't require masks outside. Maybe you could find a cool spot on the top deck and snap a selfie or ask a fellow passenger for an assist.

When I mentioned the masking for pics to my dad, he thinks it'll be neat to get a family pic with masks on as a sort of historical/sign of the times type of pic for when we're and especially my son are much older looking back on this whole mess.

What happens if you test postive in port? Obviously you are not going on the cruise but do you get refunded the cost?

We leave Jan 8 and are the last Fantasy sailing before the childrens vaccination rule takes place. So we have tons of family's with kids looking for the few spots in clubs. Lots of running in the halls to entertain them selves I suspect. So many family's introduced them selves on social media during the two weeks after the Jan 13 date was announced.

Yes, that's what happens.

I was hoping DCL would assist in finding replacement sailings rather than just a refund - I'm wanting to be on a cruise :boat: (as soon as practicable, that is) rather than getting a refund. I was hoping DCL could help find a deal similar to what I got for our upcoming cruise. We know the port testing could tag one of us as positive and we'd be bummed but know we need to accept the posibility.

Has anyone denied boarding due to port positive test received help from DCL to reschedule their cruise, or is DCL so overwhelmed and already booked that help to rebook isn't likely?

They will also hold the money as a future cruise credit but I don’t believe they will actively work with you to find “deals” any more than they regularly do

Nor are there special deals for those denied boarding for future cruises, I don't think. No 25% off certs or similar.

We sail this Saturday this 8th, and once I heard about mask for photos my husband canceled our photo package, which is a bummer
