Are you a celebrity or a close relative of one (Without revealing personal information)? I’m curious if there are celebrities on the Disboards. I assume there are plenty of Disney loving people that just happen to be famous (and I perfectly understand their need to feel normal). So basically this thread is just yes or no responses. Feel free to skip the thread.

No. But the back of my head was in the background of morning newscasts for the last 4 years I worked. And once in a while we got viewers calling wanting to know who the guy was in the background. My work area was U shaped and some of the equipment I had to control was on one end of the U, and my computer was on the other end of the U, and I would have to "roll" from one end to the other.
Also had people who knew me who would call or e-mail with snippy remarks like "comb your hair"........."so, you're wearing a red shirt again?"

I have conversed with someone on the boards that was related to Anthony Phillips. Original guitarist fo Genesis. Can’t remember who.

Not really... through Ancestry.com DNA stuff, I found out that I am distantly related to some politician in one of the western states House of Representatives (or at least was when I read up on him).
Unfortunately, he sits on the wrong side of the aisle

My daughter was once in the audience for The Price is Right. Her name was never called to Come on Down, but she was seated not far behind Contestants Row and appeared on TV about half a dozen times during the episode.

That’s the closest to being a celebrity of anyone I know.

One of my uncles was very highly regarded in his field. He worked at various levels in academia then served as a senior advisor to the U.S. President. He was a member of several major corporate boards. Ultimately, he returned to academia and served as President of two large universities. When he passed a couple years ago, his obituary ran in major newspapers, including the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Even with all that, I’m not sure he would be considered a “celebrity” though.

I'm pretty sure I'll be related to a famous person soon! My son is embarking on his career as an actor. He was already hired to play the body double of a famous guy in a video. Whenever you didn't see the guy's face, it was my son dressed and wigged to look like the guy. Every actor has to start somewhere. Maybe next time he gets hired, we'll actually see his face!

I am/was distantly related to John Glenn (the astronaut). I only met him once in my life when I was young, but I can still remember being awed by him.

I had my five minutes of fame as a child. Somewhat closely descended from a former President (but not close enough to have any access to the estate or the fortune lol). Related to Latvian royalty (again, not close enough to have any actual access). And my grandfather was a character actor in Hollywood--I actually have his SAG book from the same time period that Ronald Reagan was president of SAG. So plenty of loose connections, but nothing major.

I have a first cousin who is a well known actor all over the UK (he's been on Coronation Street and East Enders and been in movies). I have a second cousin who is a well known singer in Wales and the UK.

The first cousin, yes, we are only a year apart in age and I used to stay at their house every summer when I was little and my parents would take us back to the UK. We message all the time and every time I see him on Corrie (we are about 3 weeks behind the UK here in Canada) I message him to say 'hey I just saw you on telly ).
The second cousin who is the singer (and apparently actor) I have never met so no, doubt he knows who I am.
