Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2023 Edition

App working now. Everything in MK almost walk on now. IIRC, the second wk after Easter has historically been relatively slow.
I’m wondering how true this will hold next year, Easter is March 31, will 8-12 be slow or 15-19 or both?

I would think 15-19 will be really slow except that the end of the weekend is spring time surprise. But wonder if 8-12 will also be slow…

Good Morning!

I’m wondering how true this will hold next year, Easter is March 31, will 8-12 be slow or 15-19 or both?

I would think 15-19 will be really slow except that the end of the weekend is spring time surprise. But wonder if 8-12 will also be slow…
Both of those weeks should be on the slower side. The weekend for the 18-21 may see a bump with the Run Disney Springtime Event.

Once rack rates are out for 2024 it’ll be easier to gauge what times may be on the slower side. The next month leading up to Memorial Day is priced similarly to September.

Not to go into a deep dive here but my kids spring break is 8-12 I’ve always avoided spring break as it seems to crowded wondering if a lot of spring breaks are that week, could also swing a short trip week after for springtime surprise as they have a bunch of half days that week… so silly the week after spring break!

Trail's End Restaurant at Disney's Fort Wilderness now closed and will reopen this summer

Disney's website has now been updated with a notice saying, "Trail’s End Restaurant is closed for refurbishment and will reopen in summer 2023. During this time, P&J's Southern Takeout mobile ordering and The Chuck Wagon food truck are available."

Trail's End Restaurant was previously expected to reopen in late 2023 as a new quick-service eatery. The new marketplace concept was thought to feature a more varied menu at lower price points, with more flexible dining that does not require a reservation.

It isn't clear if those plans have now changed, and Trail's End will return in its current format. The restaurant most recently offeredfamily-style breakfast priced at $22.99 from 7:30am to 12pm, and family-style dinner from 4:30pm to 9:30pm priced at $31.99.

Disneyland's treats are such a disappointment in comparison to all the cool stuff at WDW. We can do better than cake pops and crisped rice treats!
