no not even close - or at least not mine.

Sent 7/26 and passed 8/15 - a total of 20 days.

There was a hold up due to upgrading or replacement of a system at Disney', which handles some or part of the contract information.
so for us who was sent to rofr aug7, we may have an extra week tacked on from the closure. today makes 2 weeks but maybe not really 2 weeks🤪

I think it depends. Mine took 26 days.
I had assumed it would be quicker but it seems that mine was going through at the same time that the ROFR beast was waking up.
are we back to waiting almost 30 days for rofr now ?
I've been waiting since 7/13. Broker e-mailed me this past weekend to say they were reaching out to Disney on status because of how long it's been taking. (I'm at 40 total days, 26 business days)

We plan to hold this to the bitter end so I’m not worried about it being a 2042. The end date is perfect for us because that’s approximately when we anticipate needing fewer points (kids will be 28 and 26 at the end of 2041) and our 2057 and 2070 points should suffice for that.
That was our original thinking as well. However, the kids still love Disney and spending time with us at the parks. We take solo trips for sure but still several plan and unplanned family trips a year. We are in the market for more points as part of succession planning. Based on my experience you can never have enough points!

Lol, our kids are on their own if they need points beyond what we have left after 2042. We should still have enough to get a 1-2 bedroom for at least a week in all seasons without borrowing. But, hopefully, by their mid to late 20s, they’ll be settling into their own lives and family vacations to Disney will be the exception rather than the norm.

Wishful thinking in my circumstance. My boys are now 22 & 26 and enjoy going now more than ever! Soooo it’s only 2br or 2 studios

Here we go... Our first contract at Poly--$160-$17101-100-PVB-Jun-78/22, 100/23, 100/24, 100/25- sent 8/21

Fingers crossed it goes through!
Crossing my fingers.

Did you post the points incorrect and are the ‘22 points actually banked to ‘23? June ‘22 points would normally expire by end of 2023🤷‍♂️

There is effort in finding a rental, which is worth something. Way back when I bought my first timeshare, it was motivated in part by the pain of combing through VRBO listings to find something.

I like your spreadsheet, but I'd also probably play around with a couple of different rental rate increases. They have not gone up steadily, but you could probably do a long-term guess at a range by looking at ten-years-ago rental board threads (assuming those are still around). You could also do this by e.g. looking at Wayback Machine archives of dvcrequest or others.
I've rented a couple times now from the DisBoards rental page and so far it's been great. I've not used a commercial site yet.

I re-ran my projections building in a 2.5% annual increase to the rental rate and renting and resale came out as a wash. So really depends on whether you prefer the convenience of owning the points yourself (penalty free cancellations, banking/borrowing privileges etc). Vs avoiding the obligation of paying dues and having to rent out points you wouldn't otherwise use. This also assumes BCV resale at $120pp. I think I'm back to preferring resale, as someone else mentioned it "forces" you to take vacations. My only regret was buying all my points at BLT, in hindsight after doing split stay, I'd have split the points between BLT and BCV.

Sorry this reply is so late, I haven't been on here in a while!

any word???
Nope. Makes me think they misplaced my paperwork. The good thing is I’m not in a hurry, but I dislike the unknown. I wonder if it has to do with the fact it’s an Aulani contract. Did the Maui fires cause stall in real estate transfers? I would totally understand if that’s the case.

I had an Aulani contract that was submitted to the Bureau of Conveyances on 8/11 and recorded on 8/15 (2 days excluding the weekend).

hmm that could be an issue which would be understandable, but the wait prior seems excessive.
