I added the target 20% cash app offer and made a $50 gift card purchase but it charged me the entire $50 and didn’t take the 20% off. Has that happened to anyone else and is there a remedy?
I signed up for CashApp last year but never used it. Now I went into the App and it wants my full SSN (not just the last 4). Is this site safe?

In the future, you should figure out how much the purchase should be with the discount and then only load that amount (or an amount a little more than that but less than the total would be without the discount) into your cashapp. For example, on the $50 Target purchase, since you are supposed to get 20% off, the total should be $40 after the discount. Therefore, you would only load at least $40 but LESS THAN $50 into you cashapp and that way, if the boost doesn't apply for whatever reason, they will just decline the charge and the order won't go thru instead of charging you the full amount.I added the target 20% cash app offer and made a $50 gift card purchase but it charged me the entire $50 and didn’t take the 20% off. When I did the target with cash app I put $40 in my cash app and purchased it via the target website (not target app) on my phone. It says it charged $50 to target but only $40 was taken out of cash app bc I got the instant $10 savings.I added the target 20% cash app offer and made a $50 gift card purchase but it charged me the entire $50 and didn’t take the 20% off. Something slightly different happened to me. I had the 20% offer selected and when I purchased a $50 gift card, it took $45 (which used the 10% offer instead). You should see the 20% offer still in your offers with a green check mark indicating it's selected. Take a screenshot and chat with them, and they'll credit you. That's what they did for me.I added the target 20% cash app offer and made a $50 gift card purchase but it charged me the entire $50 and didn’t take the 20% off. Interesting. I have a Freedom, but I didn't get that one. Maybe it's targeted. If you have chase cards check your emails.
This popped in a few hours ago for my Freedom.
Did not receive it on any cards so not sure if it is just a Freedom thing.
This was not in the chase website or app under the "Offers" so it appears it is email only.

Yeah I normally do that but I first tried to use the 10% boost and it was canceled because I bought too many of the same gift cards. The money was already transferred when I swapped to the 20% boost, waited a little, and then made my transaction. It didn’t take it off.
