This is only tangentially related and only because it's a question about Lidl....

Does anyone know of somewhere (in person or online) where I can buy Lidl giftcards? I'd like to give it to someone out of state who shops there, but I don't have any near me at all. They don't sell them on their website, and I'm not having any luck finding somewhere else online that sells them.

I just wanted to verify that I can purchase a park ticket through Disney website with Disney gift cards. Is this correct?
Not 100% sure, but I thought you could only pay with 1 gift card online. I have always combined my GC first and then used it to buy a ticket. You may be able to use multiple gift cards if you do it over the phone.

@bighuskermav thanks for the kudos... and removing argumentative :poop: Yup, I saw that. It's all good.

And this isn't directed towards you per se, it's just conversation to help newbies and lurkers.

I find it disheartening when reading the fine print on 3rd party gift cards, if the monies are stolen or card is lost many retailers wash their hands, meaning you'll most likely not recover those funds despite having records.

At least with Disney, they'll go above & beyond to help you.
I believe it was this year when a peep posted her experience, she had, let's say $820 DGC and it was gone. After uploading receipts, card #'s etc.. Disney was able to recover $800. I think it took about a week. Fuzzy on the details but for anyone wanting the exact details it's all here in the pages of our thread and this is just one example of many you can read about.

Hmm, I was planning to buy 4 smaller ones at my Kroger to get 4x's the fuel points.

You are correct that you can only use 1 Disney gift card online. If the 1 gift card doesn't have enough funds, you can do a split payment with a credit card.

You can combine the 4 smaller gift cards on disneygiftcard.com so it will only be 1 gift card. The maximum you can combine is $1,000 so if your WDW tickets total more than $1,000 you'll need to either pay the difference with a credit card, do separate transactions, or call to purchase tickets.

Purchase the 4 and then combine them on to one on the DGC site and use that card to purchase the tickets from Disney. Make sure delete any cards with balances from the DGC site.
Delete any cards with a balance? Or delete any cards without a balance? I find it helpful to have the cards with balances available online to check their balances and see their history, especially to cross-check against my receipts. Are we saying we're concerned about the security of having that information on-line at the disney gift card site?

I always delete cards *with balance* on the disney gift card website after consolidating and checking. It is easy to re-enter the card number and EAN any time to check balance and access transaction history. I have a password protected spreadsheet where I store all active card numbers and EAN and what the card looks like so it is easy to just copy and paste the string of numbers any time I need to scrutinize one of the cards on the disney gift card website.

So you can reenter the info and see complete transaction history on the card, not just since the card was reentered on the website? That would work.

I actually manually post all of the card transaction s into a gift card account I set up in Quicken so I am mirroring everything anyway. I just like to run the report on the website to make sure I didn't miss any paper receipts and that the balance ties.

Exactly! I did this last week while at Disney World. Every night I would re-enter and delete card info on the website to check transaction history and to add the Best Buy cards I received during the buying spree when they had the 15% discount. I used to just leave the card info on the website but after reading posts here warning us not to do that, I decided to heed the warnings.

If you call Disney World's customer service, they will apply multiple gift cards for you. I combine mine on the Disney Gift Card site into $1,000 denominations, then I call Disney to apply multiple cards. Last year, I had two separate reservations and paid them both in full at the same time with gift cards.

Yes, if anything ever happened and you card info was onsite any hacker would then have access to your funds.

I am in the camp of not concerned, others don’t feel the same, you’ll just have to deicide where you land. I run a tight ship personal security wise with different pw’s for everything and I consistently get emails from Disney Gift Card when I do anything on the website. Every “the website was hacked” claim we have seen I have seen enough evidence the user was hacked that I am not concerned with a mass website hack.

Now, once I am done loading a GC I remove it from the site. I don’t want all my funds frozen in case I do something dumb again and Disney freezes my whole gc collection for my own safety.

For the last 3 years in a row, Lowe's has run a deal on Visa gift cards starting the first Wednesday or Thursday in December. Here is to be hoping they run the deal again!
Well, it looks like I jinxed it. Unfortunately, Lowe's did not run the gift card deal for Visa gift cards this year.
