Thank you! My husband is now calling me an extreme couponer haha, but I told him I'm not that crazy. We're never going to have 500 cans of soup we don't like stacked in the garage.

I'm not picking on you, so please don't take it that way. Having said that, this thread is about saving money on all things. Couponing is a big part of that, Post #10 More Ways to Save

This is a hoarder

There is a certain image that comes to mind when you think of couponing: a person, almost always a woman, hunched over the kitchen table for hours on end, diligently cutting out coupons from booklets and storing them in bulging nylon binders. That was my mother. Back when I started, we had the booklets and you had to have a printer to print out coupons and then organize all them. Which in itself seemed like a full-time job.

The reality is, couponing hasn’t looked like that in a long time. Like most other things, couponing has gone digital but the real bargains are found on cashback apps, which many here rely on.

Gone are the days of double or triple couponing as many stores have updated their coupon policies, limiting one manufacture coupon on one item per transaction. Some stores no longer accept paper coupons or print coupon booklets. Back then, the savings were enormous, it’s how I funded two or three trips annually while paying off a 15-year mortgage, adding funds to our IRA’s and all on a single income. And I never carried a balance on my credit cards, I still don’t. I should also like to mention my son attended a private school. Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention many Extreme Couponers, myself included, donated our hauls to food banks, women’s & children’s shelters, vets and animal shelters. As the face of Extreme Couponing has changed, it has limited our ability to donate the way we use to and unfortunately the need is much greater.

I still carry my binder everywhere I go, including on vacation. It’s not as full as it once was but I always look for a bargain. I think it's crazy more people don't use this resource. :flower3:

I'm sorry, what offer?

I had originally posted that the RMN SD 12% CB offer was extended to 1/28/24, because when I looked yesterday I swear it said it expired on 1/24/24 for me - but when I went back to look at your post about it, yours already said it expired on 1/28/24 :)

I just checked and the cards only go up to $100 with a $4.95 purchase fee making the savings only $0.10 since you have to buy 2. If you can load one and get the purchase fee waived and some $ off the balance I like to buy these.

Sorry about that, I'm a little bit out of order!

Might want to take another look,
To buy $150 worth, you would need to buy $100 which has a purchasing fee $6.95
Then you would have to buy $50, fee $5.95
AND you pay shipping fee 50¢ per card.

Oh, the only time really worth buying them is when 4X Fuel is being offered. YMMV. That's what I would wait for.

Hi everyone, just found this thread and found some incredible ideas. Found this after seeing the Costco 10% off cards go out of stock, and hoping they come back so I can pay off my cruise.

A few pages back someone posted about Target circle earnings. Went on my app and found a $50 reward for $500 spent. Bought $500 in e-cards using my Red card for a 15% discount, and the $50 reward is already posted in my app!

I know other have posted about the Kroger / King Soopers fuel points, but I thought I'd throw in what I do. I have an AMEX Blue Cash preferred card, which gives 6% back at supermarkets up to $6k in purchases all the time. As others do, I use the 4x points for $1 per gallon off then stack the savings. Results in ~20% off the gift cards although it's slow because can only use so much gas. My F150 has a 35 gallon gas tank, so I'm able to use this 1-2x per month. FWIW.
:wave2: Hi! And :welcome: to our corner of the world!

Just so you know, the main posts on page 1 are updated everyday, except when I'm off :poop: Hopefully you're finding some new deals and will post your outcome!

Sounds great, thank you. I just tried the RMN purchase on the SD site with my Disney Visa and will report back on that once it processes.

I just want to point out that the Amex Blue cash preferred really only gives 6% back in the first year when there is no annual fee; in subsequent years you actually only get 4.4% back once you account for the annual fee. I know Amex calls it a 6% card because they want to make it sound like it is more than it is.
