Hi guys! I wasn't sure where to post this question but I thought here would be a good place to start. It's pouring the rain out my window right now and It got me thinking.... My friends and family and online blogs have said to pack rain ponchos. I've never been to Florida in September and was wonder what you guys thought. I am taking a light windbreaker jacket with a hood, and same for Day. Think this would be good enough? Should I hit up a dollar store before we leave and buy some ponchos?

I hit the dollar stores Walmart and buy the clear plastic ponchos for a buck

I stick an unopened one in my bra so I do not lose it

Once I use them, I toss them

I always have one with me if there is an indication of rain

I do not like to carry any jacket etc in the parks with me

It is hot in sept and I go hands free to the parks

Never felt the need for any kind of jacket in Orlando in the months we have gone.........September is hot!!!

I'm in the minority with ponchos though.......hate them! Would rather just get soaked and then dry off......they are too hot to wear.......for me. So we don't bother.

Staying onsite though it's easy as we're only ever a maximum 10 minutes away from our hotel.........easy to change if we do get drenched........in very heavy downpours staff are usually waiting with towels for you to dry off.......that's happened to us a few times........lol.......

I can live with wet clothes but not wet shoes and socks

Yes the staff at the boat dock at rph all lined up to give us towels, warm ones that is, as we got off the into the dock

Hummmmmm Thanks guys! You've given me a lot to ponder lol I did get a jacket that it light weight windbreak with a hood, but the store sent me two sizes smaller than what I ordered. I can't return it only exchange or get store credit and they can't order me a new one in stores. GRRRRRRRR Forever 21. So I'm going to wrestle with that tomorrow. I thought about getting ponchos but Day & I agreed that we didn't want to fit them / carry them around. We are trying to carry as little into the parks as possible just so we don't have to fight things or lockers - just hop in line and go

at this point though I think I'm going to pack a small cross body purse or my fanny pack to carry phone & medicines.

Ugh Forever 21's return policy is the worssst. I usually use a crossbody and my boyfriend carries a backpack but I saw some cool fanny packs on Amazon last year.

I'm from KY too! Will also be at RPR September 9-12. Look forward to your trip report!

Glad your flight change wasn't too bad. Our flight changed from leaving orlando Sunday to Monday. I was super mad at first but was like hmm an extra day at universal..why am I fighting this?

I know!!! And our store has only been open about 2 weeks and they didn't have the jacket I bought in store yet soooo I had to exchange. They said I could re order it online but for some reason if I order thru them it takes about 2 weeks for me to get my stuff. I did get a great all black zip up hoodie with zipper pockets, and two pairs of knock off keds in Maroon and Navy.

My fanny packs cute, but nothing to write home about! I'm sure I'll show pictures of it later. I got it for free with a Victoria Secret purchase last summer and it holds my things and does it's job. TBH Raeven, I was kind of thinking of borrowing your idea, like how you posted your outfits and things! unless that a no-no! lol

The universal god decided you needed to stay an extra day! That's all it was! It's awesome our trips over lap though!!! Are you going for Rock the Universe?

We are. My husband loves skillet. We didn't chose to go though for rock the universe just kinda happened that way.
