Disney Gift Card Deals

:offtopic: Did you notice the TSA Pre-Check or Global Entry reimbursement perk? It was kind of buried in the details but they will reimburse you for 1 person's TSA or Global Entry application fee once every 4 years from what I saw on the website. (I was just looking at that card yesterday, alas I have no big trips planned at this point (already paid off my current trip) but it did look like a deal if used properly.)

I just applied for global entry 2 days ago using CSR, and the credit has already posted to my account!

Paypal Digital Gifts is not selling anything in their store on ebay right now! http://stores.ebay.com/ppdigitalgifts/_i.html?_nkw=

I went to look at Southwest Airlines cards, and clicked on the "Authorized gift card Seller" and this statement came up on the PPDG Southwest page: "This seller is currently away, and is not processing orders at this time. You can add this item to your watch list to purchase later."

I'm in shock! (BTW, Cardency is also selling Southwest and charging $1 per gift card.)

Advice needed please! I have $175 in rewards for gift cards through a work wellness program and have a Disney trip I need to pay off. Should I get BB to convert to Disney or Walmart to Sam's Club to Disney? If I do Sam's Club I have to order online (my store does not carry Disney gc). I've never bought gift cards at Sam's Club slot BB so I'f love to hear what you all think. Thanks!

I would think Walmart/Sam's Club would be your best option since you can use gift cards to pay for discounted gift cards. BB would be an even trade.

Agreed. Just be aware that you can't purchase variable GCs at Sam's like you can at BB, so you'll have leftover GCs that you'll have to either hold onto or supplement with cash to get more Disney GCs.

I am not happy this happened to you :( . You might want to also investigate other ways to generate free points. I use M+ on my phone, and there are several other apps, like Feature Points and AppGift.

I looked on MrRebate.com and Cashbackholic.com and checked several places that i know that sell Disney gc. All of them exclude gift cards from their rebate.

Yeah I need to look into the other apps that give free money. Still need to find a way to use up my eBay bucks and gcs.

You definitely can still use Target GC to purchase Disney GC in store. Nothing in their system stops it. You can even do it at self-checkout so you don't have to deal with an employee getting ideas about making up policies.
Thanks for that confirmation. Even though I can no longer get the redcard discount, I still can get discounted Target Gift cards, so I'll use them in store to buy Disney gift cards from now on.

Is there a way to use a target e-gift card to purchase Disney gift cards?

Yes, load the eGC number and PIN into your Target .com account or mobile app so that it's available as a barcode under "my GiftCards" on your app. Go into a store, pull up the barcode on your app, and present it to the cashier or self-checkout to scan and apply to your purchase. eGCs still work to buy GCs in store, but not online.

Just got back from target and it worked. thanks again for the guidance.

long time reader, first time poster :)

Was stuck with $1300 in ebay cards. After reading a tip from here I bought 2 expensive items on target's ebay page using the $1300 in ebay cards. Today I went to Target to return the items for cash. The supervisor only wanted to give me a refund to a Target gift card. He said about 2 months ago they changed their policy on refunds when paypal was used. I was pretty upset and demanded to speak with the store manager because it clearly states on all target ebay items that returns when paypal was used will be refunded in cash. So long story short, the manager didn't even show his/her face and authorized the supervisor to issue me a cash refund. Another fun fact, Target doesn't refund in bills higher than $20. So I walked out of the store with 65 $20 bills lol. good luck anyone trying to do this. guess it's sorta a gamble if they will give you a cash refund and I'm just so glad to be rid of those useless ebay cards now.

@nintendo master, sorry you had such a bad experience, but glad that it worked out in the end. I liked it better when we could do this all online without dealing with employees and their interpretation of policy.

I had a good experience with Target this morning when I returned my 299.99 item. She asked if i had a penny, which I already had ready. After apologizing that she only had $20's, she gave me my refund. It was quick and painless. I don't plan on doing ever doing this again. I can see Target changing their ebay refund policy very quickly if they see a lot of returns from purchases made via their ebay store.

I'm hanging on to the cash for now to see if something comes up that will give me some sort of a discount on Disney gift cards. Possibly an AmEx offer for Best Buy or Target.

So I finally got rid of my eBay cards. Just had a couple hundred, so I bought this for $299.

It is a large format photo printer that my wife wants. The great thing is that it comes with a $250 mail in rebate here.

So for $50 I got the wife a large format photo printer, used up all my eBay cards, got $6.00 worth of eBay Bucks, and a $250 Prepaid Amex.

Converting eBay Cards into a Prepaid Amex Card.

I'm anxiously waiting for an eBucks offer:hyper:...I want to convert my eBay gift cards (previously eBucks!) into my Apple Watch:flower3:. I'm not going to do it until I can jump on a 4x or 5x offer though. That means, this week, we will probably see a 3x offer:rolleyes2.

Went to Walgreens yesterday. They didn't have Disney cards in stock, so I looked for Best Buy and WalMart. I found Best Buy, but their register wouldn't accept it, so I defaulted to Ebay. Still plenty of things I want to buy there, and if I wait for a promotion, it will give me more money for Xmas shopping.

Yep, I'm anxiously waiting for a good promo this week as well, as we also wait for our,(myself and DD26), money to roll over so we can actually use our eBay gc's. Frustrating! My eBay gc won't be available to use for another couple weeks, but DD26's will. I'm hoping that since the promo this week was so small that a better one will be available this week!

Also, if I were buying instore they would charge me tax. How does that work going thru BB/EBay? If it says $999, that's exactly what I pay, right?

Hello!

First time poster but I have read many tips here. I haven't made a payment on my disney cruise in a while, but I have a small balance that I am looking to pay off in the near future. I never fully churned, but did do a few things that I read about here. The last time I purchased gift cards, I purchased electronic Target gift cards online through Target's website in conjunction with a regular Target order and received ebates on the entire order total. I then used the Target e-giftcards to purchase Disney gift cards, in conjunction with a regular Target order and with my red card as the default form of payment, and received ebates on the entire order total.

Am I reading correctly that the ebates thing is no longer working, and my best bet would be just to pick up Disney gift cards in the Target store (or order online) and pay with my red card, saving the 5%? I'm happy to save 5% but it stinks if ebates no longer works. However, it's also way less of a headache messing around with all of that.

Thank you!

You have to pay state and local taxes on eBay just as you would in store. BB's eBay cart will calculate the appropriate tax on your purchase based on your zip code. Just a reminder, eBay caps the amount of GCs redeemable in one transaction at $1000. So, a $999 item plus tax will probably put you over the $1000 limit, unless you're in a tax free state.

I think we should all try to keep @Marionnette's and @JKalai's exit strategies on the down-low. These were not posted as churning strategies, but simple outs. Their mechanics have been posted and anyone interested in these suggestions can learn about it by reading back. I worry that with each new post or discussion that tries to play out these strategies, more people will read it and get ideas about how to abuse it. I'd note that not everyone here "stuck" with certain GCs can jump for an exit yet because they're still capped by the 60-day redemption limit, so I'd hate to see these exits closed before they can use them because too many people abused the policies.

You can no longer get Ebates cash back from target .com on the excluded items, such as GCs, in your order even if your order contains other qualifying items that are eligible for cash back.

You also cannot use Target GCs to pay for any order containing third-party GCs on target .com, even if you have other non-GC items in the order. These orders are returned cancelled in minutes. So as far as GCs are concerned, this means you can no longer stack Target GCs you might've bought at a discount from a reseller site, gotten for free from a rewards program or app, or from a Target promotion with your REDcard set as default payment for an additional 5% discount.

You can still use your REDcard online or in store to pay for GCs and receive 5% off the actual amount charged onto the REDcard. A 5% discount is nice, but only you can judge whether it's your "best bet."

No such luck being in a tax free state, lol. But, thanks so much for answering, I was thinking maybe somehow they didn't charge tax. So, I've reworked things and thank you for that heads up, as well as the caps on amt of gc's redeembable at one time. I totally forgot that, as I've never done over $1000. Helpful to know this info!

Yeah, this isn't a good method for churning, that's for sure. And, I'm in that boat, waiting for money to come available to use. A bit nerve wracking, as well as frustrating.
