Is Disney switching to coke freestyle machines at the resorts?

Our local theater has had them for a year or more, and while they may have been slow the first month or two, now I don't find them slower at all. Getting the lid to stay on the cup is a bigger slowdown. Other places, like Fuddruckers and Noodles&Co. have them without noticeable backup.

Kids are going to be slow and blocking the machine regardless of the type of machine.

Our theater has had them for at least a year, and the line for the sodas doesn't seem to be going any faster.
At least with the regular machines, while little Billy is filling his root beer, I can stand next to him and pour a diet Coke for me, and a Sprite for my husband at the same time. Only one person can use the Freestyle machines at a time. I'm just not a fan of them because they seem much less efficient

Just a few things from someone that has worked where a machine is:

Every syrup has an individual, dedicated line. Coke concentrate does not go through the barq's concentrate line. Above the nozzle there is a line for water, for CO2 for NNS and HFCS and than about 3 dozen tiny tubes, one for each concentrate. So when you select something it mixes it as it pours. Also flavoured coke is actually made from the coke zero cartridge, not the coke one. Explains some things there for y'all. Finally the reason that you cannot find many of the flavour options in traditional bottles/cans is that they are not made. So you will never find diet grape fanta etc.

I used them at Cabana Bay last year. There was at most one person in front of me to use the machine. They also had the regular dispensers like they have at all the Disney resorts including coffee/tea (hot and cold).

What I liked is I could get sparkling water. I stopped drinking diet soda over a year ago. So for me sparkling flavored water (without any sugar/fake sugar) is a treat.

I would love it if all the resorts had a few machines.

Freestyle machines tend to be slow...at less crowded spots they would be fine...I bet they would be super frustrating at value/moderate food courts.

I know some of you don't like these machines but I would love to see them migrate out to the pool area. I hate sending my kids into the food courts to get a drink.
That and maybe by the elevators in each room building! It would be nice to not have to walk to the food court to fill my mug.

Universal has these everywhere in their parks, and I rarely see lines. The key is having enough machines scattered throughout the parks.

CBR now has them in the vending areas.

I think that's a great idea to allow 24 access to mug refills.

I had a lot of fun using them but I think that's because the Disney vacation is like, the one time where we go crazy and drink lots of soda.

I hope so. I don't drink soda and love the sparkling water options in freestyle.
