***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Love the shirts!! How fun! :)

Okay, here are my FP plans for each day (as always, these are subject to change! ;) )

11/30 - Epcot: FEA, Living with the Land, Nemo and Friends (If FEA has no times available, Soarin' is the alternative, and we'll do rider swap)
12/1 - MK: pre MVMCP -- Jingle Cruise, Peter Pan, and Pooh (alternatives, Dumbo, IASW, and Buzz)
12/2 - HS: Beauty and the Beast (yes, I know this isn't a great tier one, but DD is loving princesses right now), Frozen Ever After, and Disney Jr (really no alternatives, if for whatever reason BatB isn't available, then we'll do TSMM) (DH wants ToT, Star Tours, and ????)
12/3 - MK: IASW, 7DMT, and Pirates (SDFP's for any of the mountains...per DH)
12/4 - No park day --- Unless FEA isn't available on any of our Epcot days/evenings!
12/5 - HS: TSMM, Muppets, and Frozen Ever After (girls with my parents, again this is all subject to whatever we decide Sept 30th)
12/6 - AK: Safari, Dino Spin, and the Lion King (would love to fit in Nemo, Flights of Wonder, and the train)
12/7 - MK: (Princess day! Got DD1 a BBB appt! BIG win of the day!), Ariel's Grotto, Princess Fairytale Hall, Enchanted Tales with Belle
12/8 - EP: FEA, Character Spot, and Turtle Talk (SDFP for Soarin?), With all EP days, we'll utilize the single rider line with TT.
12/9 - AK: safari, dino spin, ITTBAB? (last day, ME will pick up around 2:30 for flight home)

VERY kid/little girl oriented. DH and I will get to ride bigger rides in USF/IOA.

I woke up with morning wishing I could get DD a BBB appt in MK. I for sure thought that would be a big fat NO, especially for a non party day. Well, when I called, the CM told she had JUST hung up with someone cancelling their appt, and so we got it! EEK! 1:35pm. DD won't know till right before. And I know that evening, she'll love the dinner Chef Mickeys (though, I may scout for a 1900 Park Fare, and cancel the chef Mickeys)...

This is all finally coming together!

@pigletgirl this is such an awesome surprise!!!! And very exciting for your little girl!!! I really love surprising the kids whenever I can ) :)

Yay for the castle! :lovestruc
It's such a special place.

:rotfl2:After all the planning none of us will want eat! All those hours searching...

Yum!!! This is a perfect breakfast!
Oh... I would pair this with the Carmel shake.

Glad you had a safe trip! Oregon is stunning country. My siste lives in Eugene.

I love love love the Star Wars one! Both are great. My DD is in charge of MB decorating. I can't wait to see what she comes up with. :flower1:

Oh... Great options. It's so hard to choose! Keep both options until you get closer.
I am... :rolleyes1... But I've weaned from 6 out 10 to only 3. I blame Disney for not releasing SW. Tho when I look at 12/3 (I believe it will happen) and this thread will blow up with

The next day I'll be extra focused on FP selection. :coffee:

3 days!! The 27th.... it's getting so real!

@BDFmom Wow!! Three days!!! I can't wait till everyone here starts getting their fp. It really will make everything official. ( for me at least ) :)

Congrats on the huge score!! Your daughter will love it! :) I love your plans too! Mine will be kind of similar but I'm avoiding most shows. :p

Speaking of surprises. Is there any one thing in particular you're all most excited about sharing with or surprising your kids/families with? For example, i do remember @Talby is excited about her daughter's dolphin encounter? I think that might be a
surprise??
I'm most excited about surprising.....
-my 4 year old with pooh at crystal palace
-my 6 year old with the poly ( and pool) and the tiki room. For some reason she really loves anything "tiki" related
- my parents with a dinner at biergarten ( they are trekking along with us to every meal, and we have 6 or 7 character ones :scared1: ( if you count the beast)
So I'm excited to surprise them with an old family favorite for our Epcot dinner
I also can't wait for them to see all of the changes since we've last been there together in 18+ years!
-I'm not really sure about my husband...Ive been updating him with additions and "modifications" to the trip....but I know he's going to be surprised about how much more $$$ we'll spend on souvenirs :teeth:but I'm definitely not excited about that!
- I'm most excited about the mvmcp :) it's obviously not a surprise for me...But I think the kids will love getting the hot cocoa and cookies. I know the whole party/ parade will be beautiful , I just think the cocoa and cookies will likely be what they'll be most excited about and will remember

Happy Sunday everyone!

Y'all - all this packing talk is starting to stress me! See, originally, we were supposed to move into our new house in August, but that didn't happen. It's a brand new neighborhood so first the roads were delayed and then the permits, etc.

Now, our closing date is *supposed* to be November 17. And I just feel like that's going to change! I'm imagining trying to pack for Disney while unpacking boxes at the new house - or packing for Disney while packing up our house. Neither one sounds fun and both include a 3 year old and a very mobile 9 month old.

All this to say, what are your must have packing 'extras'? For example, I saw a power strip on one of the lists and I thought it was genius! We are always moving furniture and unplugging lamps to get all our devices plugged in and charging.

We also have little ones who are sensitive to noise so we bring a nightlight. Used to, before kids we would leave the bathroom light on and partially shut the door but if it's one of those bathroom light and fan combos-forget it!

That's so great! Lots of surprises all around! For me, no true surprises (except DH might be surprised by the prices :p and my wanting to buy all the Starbucks mugs) everything will be a surprise for my two year old and I'm sure he will surprise us. :rotfl:

Like @Candycane83 - I feel like everything will be a surprise for the kids! They will be 4, 3, almost 2, and 9months. The two oldest have been to Disney before. My son (the 3 year old) actually surprised us by how much he remembers. We were at the beach this past week and went to a place with a carousel and when we asked him if he wanted to ride, he said he wanted to ride the Dumbo elephant ride and then the carousel. I'm pretty sure my jaw dropped because he was only 18 months when we took him and he hated the carousel (the only ride he hated!) so we don't talk about it but that was the order we rode them when we went!

He also loves Star Wars so I am so excited to take him to Hollywood studios! I think he will just be in awe of those storm troopers.

I think I'm going to give my parents a gift basket from Disney floral and gifts for being down there with us! They have been through quite a bit since the last big vacation and I think it's a great way to honor them. For my brothers family, since they've only been once, I found them a CRT dinner for the night of 12/3. Only my bro knows and he is thrilled, and heck I am for them! I may do a similar thing gift type thing for them as well. :)

Good luck on the move. It sounds very difficult especially in terms of timing.

For extras... not really sure. I have ziplock bags right now... LOL! I'll probably try making one and post it here once I have something. DS is not too bad with darkness or light or noise so I don't really have that issue with night lights. We normally just have a lamp open further from the bed. :)

Love this! I hope my son enjoys and remembers some of our trip too! :) I'm so excited now and really hope he enjoys as much as your son :)

Happy Sunday everyone!

When we went in 2014 with my parents (and my 2 DS and DH), it had been 19 years since my parents and I had been there. It was so fun to see all the new stuff, but also all the stuff that hadn't changed. I was super sentimental on that trip.
We are looking forward to all the holiday stuff. We've never seen it at Christmas time so all of that will be surprises for all of us. Can't wait!

For those travelling with little girls, are you bringing any princess dresses with you? If so, how are you packing them? Will your daughter wear them each day in the park?

In 2013, my then 4 y.o. Princess wore a princess costume literally almost every day. :) most of them were the less fluffy kind, which was great bc for her BBB (you WILL LOVE IT!), she wore a very poofy Cinderella gown. I folded the dress in half longways, and then roll, roll, roll as tight as possible...depending on what fabric your dress is, most likely there won't be any, or maybe minimal, wrinkling. The minute I got to hotel, I hung up in closet, and it lived there for our trip.

Oh yay! Your DD is going to love BBB! We surprised my little cousin with an appt when we took her to Disney; it was the day of the MVMCP party, so they made her up to look like Snow White, and with her Snow White princess dress we had brought with us, she looked great for the party and felt so special! Not going to lie, I'm a little jealous adults can't go to BBB. :rotfl:

I agree! I wanted to do BBB myself! Lol!

There's probably a ton of threads about this, and if someone knows a specific one and can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it so much!! I was just looking at some menus ( yak and yeti) and wondering about TS credits.... How would it work? If you want a appetizer and an entree? Or if someone wants a soup too? Or maybe if a child doesn't want a kids meal choice but rather an entree?

Are you on the regular dining plan? Allears.net is the most popular place to look for menus or wdw site itself. I've gone to both. For regular dining plan, you get an entree and dessert. For the deluxe, you get an app, entree and dessert. From what I read, you can substitute for something (like a salad maybe?) but not necessarily an appetizer. And it's up to the discretion of the restaurant. For child ordering from adult menu, I've seen a few people report this can be done but mostly on the deluxe plan. I think it's also under the discretion of the restaurant if they would allow you or not. If you need more specific answers, you could go to the restaurant board and there is a dining plan sub board there?
Edit: not sure if you know this, for any extras, you can pay for it out of pocket. :)

Thanks @Candycane83 :) I was debating between regular and deluxe... But with my not too exact calculations back in June it seemed it would be almost the same if we did some out of pocket.... Now that I have our adrs I should really sit down and decide again! This is helpful info, thank you. I think it'd be so much easier just to do the TS credits for the buffets, and out of pocket the rest, but I don't think that would be good value or use at all. I guess I've got something else to research now!! I remember seeing a site that listed best ts credit values, so that'll help. I think the kids options/ them wanting something else might be the only issue for any sit down meals for us. I've got to check out more menus :)

Ok, so another random dumb question.... But I just measured my 4 year old. She is 42.5" wearing her sneakers.... I have no idea where she'll be in 2 months, but she'll likely " just make" some rides... I wasn't really expecting her to. But, is it common for cms to ask kids to remove their shoes? I'd so much rather avoid the rides completely than walk up and have her turned away

Check out th sticky on the restaurant board too for up to date buffet prices with tax already. It helps in the calculations. Which ADRs do you have again?

There are super handy calculators you can use to enter your meals and the values of using credits or paying OOP. I need to figure the same for our trip :)

I've never heard of kids having to remove shoes.

I suppose if your DD was dressed up like in a princess dress with some sort of high heels on (don't mean actual high heels, but more like those ~2" heels I've seen young girls wearing when dressed up as a princesses) that it's a possibility. But I would still say that it's highly unlikely.

JMHO. Maybe some others have seen/heard of this but I can't say that I have.

@Tattylou It's our first time going at Christmas as well! We loved when we went during Halloween, but we love Christmas even more so I can't wait to see all of the decorations!

@tacboze I have thought about going to the Main Street Barber Shop and having them braid/decorate my hair. They do adults so it would be the closest thing to BBB!

My boys were never asked to take their shoes off.
