AP and Volcano Bay- Predictions?

We are planning a trip for next fall and my plan is to buy an AP.

Any word on how the addition of Volcano Bay will change the AP options and prices? Do you think they will have an AP option for just Volcano Bay?

Any predictions when guests will first be able to purchase Volcano Bay tickets and APs? Will the addition of Volcano Bay bring an increase in the price of the AP for the other two parks (even if the AP we purchase does not include VB)?

I know Disney raised their AP prices by about $100 last year and I am hoping Universal will not do the same thing. Wondering whether to purchase now (I think AP prices are reasonable now) or wait until VB is added to the AP.

I'm thinking that Volcano Bay might be considered for a separate annual pass.

Considering on the Universal app, they consider Wet n Wild as part of Universal and includes it, but yet, if you want to enjoy a pass for Wet n Wild you have to purchase it separately. It might be different as it is on property and really is an official Universal product, but typically for other theme parks that also have water parks, they typically have an annual pass separate for the water parks. As it is a completely different concept, is more of a seasonal park, and could potentially be something someone may not want to visit at all. I mean, I love water parks, but I'm sure there might be some who are completely uninterested and I think would be upset if Universal raised the price $100, or more to include the water park when it might be something they do not plan to visit at all.

I had asked the same question on a thread here when the AP prices were raised early September. We have the same issue, wanting to buy an AP for our upcoming trip, and will want to use it twice more till November next year, and definitely will want to check out Volcano Bay.

I ended up emailing Universal about the issue and they even called me back but said they do not have any information about that yet.

Has anybody heard anything yet? I might purchase a more expensive pass now if that means it could inlude Volcano Bay or I could get discounts on one day tickets..as it is now we might just get seasonal passes and see what happens..

That's what we plan on doing for our kids when we go in Dec. we are gonna get them seasonal passes and if we decide to go back during the next year and it's during a blackout date we will upgrade the pass to a higher level

You can always buy a seasonal pass now and then upgrade if it turns out Volcano Bay is included in a higher tier pass

I wondered if that would be easy to do. I know Disney is great about upgrading and makes it very easy, but I have never had a pass for Universal and did not know if that would be the case with them, too.

I was thinking about upgrading, if it's easy to do and you just pay the difference, we will likely stick to seasonal for now. Any recommendations about buying it online up front or at the gate? Pros/cons?
