Looks like I'll miss you by just one day. I'll be there March 1-11. If you could get there a day earlier, you'd be welcome to join my Kona Café lunch on March 11. (I'll be leaving after lunch.)

I totally would split with you if I was going then. I'm looking at the fall for my next solo trip. I'm a married mom that also loves Disney on my own. :)

I love this! I love Disney parks but my husband isn't quite as sold on them as I am. I love to travel and would love to meet more Disney minded people. I'd love to make friends this way!

A bit about you: I'm Tori! female, 23, married to a non-disnerd, no kids (for now), HS teacher, from Texas
What is your travel style (slow, moderate, fast paced): Moderate to Fast
What are you trip finances like (budget, moderate, luxury): Budget to moderate. I would split a deluxe with someone!
Planned or laid back trip: I am a planner by nature. I like a structured morning and then a do whatever you want afternoon
Morning or night person: both with a mid day break! I usually go hard for 4 or 5 days.
Favorite parks: MK and Epcot…Disneyland is probably my favorite park!
Are you a leader or a follower (i.e. okay with someone else planning and you just tag along or vice verse): I'm a leader, but I'm flexible. I'm used to structuring trips around what I want to do, but I would love to see what others love!

A bit about you: I'm Kristina, 34 married mom of 3. Married to a non-Disney fan. I work in mental health.
What is your travel style (slow, moderate, fast paced): Moderate probably
What are you trip finances like (budget, moderate, luxury): Budget to moderate. but would love to try delux if someone would be willing to split.
Planned or laid back trip: i usually have some basic plans, but not every minute of every day. I found that having basic plans works for me because it alllows me to change depending on how I feel.
Morning or night person: normally night but not at Disney. I go hard when I'm there.
Favorite parks: MK and Epcot…but they all have their charm.
Are you a leader or a follower (i.e. okay with someone else planning and you just tag along or vice verse): It depends...im flexible and what to make sure people are happy.

Kristina-
I'm sending you a PM!

Hi! Im Kelley. Im 30. Recently single and will be headed to Disney world April 27-May4th. I was supposed to go on a 30th Bday trip with however things didn't work out so great and I am stuck with 2, 5 day passes. Ill be with family on the end up the trip but looking to meet up with hopefully some new friends. This will be my first solo trip. I love all things Disney! Id live in Orlando if I could ;)
I am a morning and night person when it comes to Disney.
Favorite park: Magic Kingdom
Leader or follower: I like to lead but can follow as well. I would love to see some new things I haven't seen at the parks that others might know about!
Important things:
1. Rides
2. Characters
3. Food
4. Shopping
5. Tours
6. Down time

If anyone will be in the parks those days I would love to meet up for a meal, some rides, shopping ect!

A bit about you: I'm Faith, 28, single mom of a toddler, work in aviation so I have some freedom to travel. I've got plans to get a WDW annual pass activated in Dec '17 and after that plan on doing several trips (solo and with my kid).
What is your travel style (slow, moderate, fast paced): Moderate-ish on my own (fast when I don't care about some stuff, slow when I love others), and slow with my kid in tow <3
What are you trip finances like (budget, moderate, luxury): Budget, but splitting costs is always an option and next year I'll have an AP so that will help a ton
Planned or laid back trip: Ok...an oddity maybe, but I do like to have a plan to do something on a specific time/date, but I don't care much about having specific plans as to what we're doing/where we're going, only that we're going to do something. As in: "hey, want to go to Disney with me Oct 14?" I could care less if we have a specific agenda of what to do when we get there, although I am great planning tours/cruises/side trips in advance too, I just don't have to if that makes sense.
Morning or night person: afternoon/evening...I'm fine with mornings, and perfectly willing to do them, but I'm not much of a night club/bar scene person - although I wouldn't mind it so much with a friend :)
Favorite parks: all of them? Ok, probably Epcot...but seriously - all of them!
Are you a leader or a follower (i.e. okay with someone else planning and you just tag along or vice verse): Either. Travelling-wise I can really land in either spot perfectly fine.

So, overall, I'd love a new friend to do Disney with, actually I'd love someone to do F&W with...I'd be willing to get my AP early and split the cost of a cheap resort room and just enjoy the heck out of eating and drinking around the world!!

During my solo trip March 1-11, 2017, would anyone like to meet for a meal, or a music show?

On past trips, I've enjoyed meeting many new friends from here on the DIS. I've already got some meetups planned for this trip, and looking for a few more.

Planned meals where we could meet up:

March 1: late dinner at Boatwright's
March 2: late breakfast at Tusker House
March 3: late breakfast at Cape May Café
March 5: dinner at The Wave
March 6: dinner at Skipper Canteen (reservation for four people; two spots are still available)
March 7: dinner at Captain's Grille
March 8: lunch at Whispering Canyon
March 9: late breakfast at Ravello
March 11: lunch at Kona Café

Music shows I plan to attend:

March 1 and March 4: Yehaa Bob show
March 9: Campfire singalong at Fort Wilderness
March 7 and/or March 10: Jellyrolls dueling piano bar

Feel free to send me a message for more info. I probably won't be able to check these messages during the trip, but I'd be happy to plan ahead, if anyone may like to meet up.

Will Planet Hollywood be open by the first week of March? I have been wanting to go there and March 3rd would work for me!

Hi Lsdolphin, Planet Hollywood was scheduled to open last fall. They missed their deadline, and now they are saying they will open in early 2017. I haven't been able to find a more specific opening date, but they are already taking reservations through their own website (not through the Disney one), and I do have a dinner reservation there for that evening. Let's touch base a little closer to that time, and if they really do open by then, we can plan on meeting there for dinner. :thumbsup2

That would great!

I posted this in another thread, but maybe it would fit better here:

Since I am having the hardest time trying to convince a friend to go with me, looks like I'm going solo Feb 26 through Mar 1. :)
