Would you happen to know if there are Club level rooms with bunk beds ? There does not see to be a category for Club Level/Bunk Beds on Touring plans. I'm staying 2nd June CL for 7 days and with DS age 2 and DD age 15 bunks would be really useful. Only ones i found seem to be on the 3rd floor

Thanks

It's been several years ago but we did have bunk beds on one of our CL stays. We typically request a room far from the lobby. For some reason on this stay we got a room that was only a couple rooms away from the lobby and it had bunk beds.

Does anyone know if there are savanna view bunk bed rooms (not DVC) facing the Sunset savanna?

I was looking at TouringPlans and the category only showed Arusha savanna for the SV bunk bed rooms.

I'm getting ready to add our requests and birthday to our reservation.

Thanks! This thread has been a lifesaver!

Yes, I would like to know this for cousins going in the summer who want bunk bed room for kids.

My understanding from others is that the rooms in the center have a less walk to elevator and cl lounge but view is more of the "rock" whereas the outer rooms have a better view but longer walk. I'll find out soon enough but if anyone has info please advise.

YES you are correct. On our last stay we requested a room almost at the end of the hall just so we would have a farther view into the savanna vs the rock and all it's visitor.

I do know that the room we stayed in last May on club level had bunk beds. It was room 4307, about the 3rd "pod" down on Kudu trail. I'm not sure if anything has changed since then, but it definitely had a queen and bunk beds.

Thanks. So excited my ds19 has decided to stay on from our family portion at BLT . So my poor DH will be at home working so I can have the rest of the week with my colllege age kids.

Ds was only 6 our last stay at akl. He thinks he is too old for it but we all know once there he is gonna love it, right?

We are going to send our bags from CR/blt in the morning then go to MK for our 3 fp and lunch. We will take the bus from MK to akl around 12-1p.this is our preferred transfer day way to go.

People have posted in the past that touring plans isn't always accurate about room categories( bunks, and kings)

At check in I would ask and tell them the reason. There are changes to cl IPO so not sure of the current status. However you can call the Disney regular line and add that request to your reservation. Make sure to tell them why it does help.

If opportunity arises I will try to find out next week.

Add us to the list. Aug 16-23. First time at AKL and super excited. My daughters know we'll be going to Disney but think we are staying at POR. I will surprise them about a week before the trip.
....good luck keeping THAT secret....;)

We found a great AP rate for 2/11-2/13 so time to give a deluxe a try. I told Jen that this might be the most expensive great rate we'll ever get if this ruins us for our moderates.

We are going to AKL in August for the first time (split stay, 4 nights at beach club first). Me, my 6 year old daughter, and my mom. We check in on my mom's birthday. She's a huge animal lover and staying at AK is a dream come true for her. I'm going to try for reservations at Sanaa for dinner or lunch. Is there any other special experience there that would be fun to celebrate her birthday? Thanks from a newbie!

So I was looking at the Touring Plan room finder and saw that a standard view room has the possibility of having a view of the savannah. I see that these rooms are the ones farther from the lobby which is fine with us. Am I missing something or is there actually a possibility of waking up next to a giraffe by paying for a standard view.

we have done moderates for 25 years and tried animal kingdlom at a great rate last year and now we dont wanna go back. theres nothing like having restaurants, and big lobby,s and room service, and animals to look at on a balcony. im afraid we cant afford deluxe so now we may have to go every 2 or 3 years instead of yearly but thats it we are spoiled .. less vacations ;( way better experience IF you like to spend some time relaxing in between, if your a hard core park person im sure you dont need a nicer interior setting

I'm thinking we are going to feel the same way. We definetly like to spend some time away from the parks. We were actually booked to go to CSR for my BD in March but due to some unbelievable luck we got upgraded to Wilderness Lodge so two deluxe resorts in a row.
