March 23, 2017... 3 night Wonder.. ful cruise!

My husband and I took our two biking when we went on a Disney's Cruise in December 2015. We really enjoyed all the festive decorations at that time on the ship. The girls loved biking out to the look out spot. I believe my nieces will enjoy it too this time. :)
Sounds like fun!

First time DCL cruisers! My DH and I are taking our son before he becomes a BIG BROTHER! We are interested in the fish extenders!

Fish Extenders...the fish is a hook, and the extender is what you make or buy that has pockets so that the participants in your group can leave gifts.

For the local Candy/Treat exchange, people leave enough local candy or snack for the cabin to share. The item should be wrapped by the manufacturer, like the ones you expect at Halloween.

As examples of what we have gotten in past....cheese straws from Mississippi, peach tasting hard candy from Georgia, salt water taffy from Salt Lake City and the Jersey shore, orange flavored popcorn from Florida, and Buckeyes from Ohio.

You would tell something about the treat or the manufacturer, usually this is just gotten from the Internet.

It's fun to go back to your cabin and fine a little treat waiting for you. Participating in some sort of exchange does make the cruise a bit more fun I think!

Yes! But I'll need more info as this is my first time doing this! I can't wait!
I hope you join!
By the middle of February I will be asking folks to send me a conversation with room numbers and the number of adults, children in the cabin, and if there are any allergies.
In order to get/send a conversation, you need at least 10 posts here. So, keep asking questions, tell us about yourself, go on other forums, but get up to 10 posts at least, and look for the conversation to arrive in your inbox around Feb. 15. By March 1st, everyone should have the information they need!

Bobbi:)

Please add me to the local candy/snack exchange. (Which means I need to order or make a fish extender, I guess!!!)

Traveling for DS's 10th birthday!

Thanks!

On February 20 I will close the list. I will start a conversation with everyone and we will tell everyone involved our cabin number. Just in case there's suddenly a swell of interest, I will keep the number in any group between 6&11.

We use Fish Extenters to pass out local candy or snacks to your area. Usually, we will print out a description of the treats from the internet. It would be customary to give enough to share.

Looking forward to the exchange!

Thank you for orchestrating this bobbiwoz! :)

You're welcome!
I participated for the first time on the EBTA in 2013, and we enjoyed it, so I've organized one on every cruise since.
Glad you are participating !

We would like to join both fish extenders and pin trading! There is 7 of us, do you have room? Is the pin trading just like when you go to Disney and trade with a cast member?
:welcome:

The Exchange is sign up by cabins. When I ask for particulars ( middle of February)mention the room(s) that have your fish extender(s).

So far no one else has expressed interest in pin trading within this thread. There should be a time to pin trade with officers one evening. Also if you see any CM with a lanyard yes pin trading is the same as in parks. Also, the gift stores have books of pins for trading.

Great I'll be looking for your post!

Does it have to be food? I know you and your husband probably doesn't want toys but for the kids Disney themed stuff be ok?

Well, how about getting input from the others?

Ideas????

There could be 2 exchanges if there is interest! Local Candy snacks and Disney themed gifts. Or within this exchange Snacks for adults, gifts for kids in cabins.

Thoughts?

I am fine with adding Disney things for the kids within the C/S Exchange.

I think my girls would enjoy the candy/snack exchange. I do plan on probably leaving other surprises too for people participating (maybe on different days) to add to the excitement. Y'all just let me know what y'all would like to do. We are up for whatever. :)
