Car seat on Disney bus

It's been awhile since I had to worry about booster seats but asking for family.
Will they need to bring a booster for their 5 year old for DME to the resort and Disney bus to MK? And would they be required in a limo for transport to Port Canaveral? And, if they do bring one, can you check it on the plane?

Car seats/booster seats are not allowed on DME.
Nor are they allowed on the resort buses (there are not even seat belts on the resort buses so nothing for the child to be strapped into.

Yes a booster seat can be checked on most airlines however I would suggest gate checking it.

Not sure about the limo situation but I'm sure I could do a quick google search.

*ETA* It would appear that yes children ages 4 and 5 need to be in a booster seat even in cabs and limos.

No booster seats on any busses. This is pretty much universal anywhere you go.

Booster seats are needed in limos and cabs. Again, universal.

Booster seats can be checked on the plane with luggage. Most (if not all) do not charge for checking booster and car seats. We have a car seat travel bag that keeps the seat protected/clean. They will check them with baggage, and as long as it contains nothing but the car seat, no charge for it. There are many brands to choose from for this, and they vary a lot in the quality and strength of material used. Just google car seat travel bag.

If use you one of these bags, you can put a yellow DME tag on it, check it with baggage, and have it delivered to your resort with your other checked bags!

If you gate check the booster seat, and claim it at the gate, you can bring it with you to DME, and they'll stow it under the bus with carry ons.

It is highly recommended that you gate check booster/carseats of any kind. If you check it with your luggage, you run a higher risk of it being damaged. They will toss that carseat around and it could get damaged but the damage may not be visible until the seat is in an accident, which is too late at that point.

have seen gate checked thrown around and dropped also. in fact more so as they hurried to get everything on and this included strollers besides carseats/booster seats

With boosters that damage isn't all that important. All boosters do is prop the child up so the seatbelt fits.

That said, the booster we used for travel was the bubble bum inflatable that weighs a pound. Ds carried his own.

You can bring the booster on board and put it in the overhead bins. Or is your child is heavy/tall enough, we use the Incognito booster (not on board, we put it in our carryon luggage). I believe it has a 60 lb, 47" minimum.

^^ On car seats, just have the child use them on board. Keeps them in one place and it is somewhere familiar.

Yes, have child sit in car seats on board, and check booster seats in baggage.

Yes, providing it will fit and it is FAA approved.
I should have clarified a bit better that I meant...if you are checking it (versus using it), you should gate check it over checking it at the counter.
