OMG! I am so super excited. We are new DVC owners as of November 2016. I had a vacation booked for May/June. I got the itch to go at Christmas. Just dropped our May/June 2 Bedroom Savannah view trip down to 4 days. It allowed me to have enough points to do AKL Kidani 2 bedroom standard for Christmas. Count our family in for Dec 21st -Dec 26th. YIPEE!

Quick question. On the Disney site, standard view rooms show the option of a queen and bunk bed or 2 queens. I booked online today with free dining. I hear that we should put in room requests 1-2 wks prior to check in. HOW do I put in a request? Do I call the hotel directly? Thanks!

Love this thread- thanks for all the great info! We own at Kidani, and I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't realize that there were any different view possibilities within a booked category. I'll do some research and get some room requests in!

Just booked AKL 12/10(my birthday 
) to 12/16! First time staying deluxe and we were able to get free dining! So excited. My 3 year old is going to love the animals. We have booked a standard room hoping to get a partial savannah view. I do have touring plans and I'll do their fax request

Values I believe are lined up on the Ostrich & Giraffe trails, & facing inward, not parking lot....We had a studion on Giraffe facing the pool, Boma's etc. Our neighbors were on the opposite wing/Ostrich trail & they also faced inward,but that meant slight savanna view...

You can call Disney now and make the request. I just booked for next April and she said she would make a note that I requested bunk beds.
Staying Oct 9-14. Jambo House Studio Villa.
Quick question....why is the Studio Villa the same price as the Standard room (Savannah views)?
We stayed there a couple years ago in a Standard room savannah view, and I was going to do the same this year. I was surprised that the Deluxe Studio was only $3 more per night.
Is this odd, or is there just not that big a difference between the two?
