Printing Tickets at Home - Paper Size issue

Heading to Disneyland Paris for a day in June and just purchased my tickets to take advantage of the current adult at child price offer. I have printed the ticket out on to standard letter size paper (8.5" x 11") which is the standard size in the USA. After close inspection of the printout I noticed it says....

"- This ticket is only valid if printed on white A4 paper, blank on each side, without any modification to the printing size, in portrait format (vertical) by a laser or inkjet printer. Under no circumstances may it be presented in any format other than stated above"

My plan is to not risk it and purchase A4 paper then reprint, but I was curious what others have experienced in terms of Letter Size being acceptable?

A4 = 210mm x 297mm (8.27" x 11.69")
Letter = 215.9 by 279.4 mm (8.5" x 11.0")

I will be waiting for this answer as well, as I am helping a friend get tickets for June - maybe Staples could print on correct paper for hopefully small fee? Was also thinking of them picking up at will call if that is an option. Did not realize the current offer, so I will see if we can buy now!

Staples and Office Max have the paper for around $10 for a ream (500 sheets) so not really a big deal just more of a curiosity.

In terms of the tickets - look at the calendar and you will see 1 day / 1 park as low as $49 per day

Not sure if this is helpful. I went last year and printed the tickets on (our) regular size paper and they worked perfectly. In fact, I don't think I ever even saw a person, just scanned the barcode and the ticket printed. However, I read them pretty thoroughly and don't remember seeing that notation on mine, so maybe it is new.

I think the issue is that on many computer programs, if you try to print a document formatted to A4 on Letter size paper (or for us in Europe, when we try to print Letter on A4), quite often it will automatically rescale the document so that it fits your chosen paper size. There is a chance that this CAN (probably won't, but it's possible) distort the barcodes or whatever is on the page, making it different for the scanner in the parks to read them.

What I've done in the past when faced with this, is make sure I print it out selecting the options NOT to rescale, then take a look at the document that comes out. If everything important fits on the page (e.g. the only things missing off the edges aren't important bits, like ticket numbers or barcodes), then it's probably good enough. Only if things are missing will I try to get hold of some of the other size of paper and re-print.

I printed mine without scaling on legal paper and then cut it down to size. Hope it works!
