DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Okay, change of plans on the WDW job front. Turns out the wilderness Lodge marina gig was full time. After a couple of phone calls I will be working at fort wilderness with onboarding next Friday and Traditions the week after. Hooahh.

well, I've got her convinced on the staying at an All Star resort on the way back to Austin in August, along with a character meal. Told her if she wants to try the Mickey Backyard BBQ we'll need to stay another night. It's just a short skip and a hop to a 2 day park pass people :p

Well done Sir!

Morning all. We had planned to go strawberry picking with David and his family, but the forecast called for thunderstorms there all day today. So, we will visit my parents for a short time and I'll see if I can talk the family into new POTC movie.

And now she is all grown up with a nose ring. :scared1: :lmao:

Right boys. That's it. I'm calling it. Work week over. Everyone pile into the tambu lounge for a Spiced rum Lapu Lapu in honour of Jeff, who in true dis-daddery has given up the glamour of international travel to spend more time at home with the family. Salut and safe travels buddy.
Last one in there has to take Tiana home. And let me tell ya, she always wants you to dig a little deeper. And you just know you wanna get your hands on her man catching beignets.

And she really does have nice set of beignets. :goodvives:goodvibes

Afternoon Guys,

Rainy Friday up here in the north, quiet day in the office.

Busy weekend ahead, sort of. DW is running in a 5K at the airport tomorrow and then we are off to the NB Sports Hall of Fame induction dinner in the evening. DS is still on the DL so he won't be playing again this weekend. I'm sure he will want to go to their game in Sunday though and of course, it's out of town. Finish the weekend off with nice friendly soccer game in our non-competitive masters league. Well they say it's non-competitive.

Have a good one, almost time to head to the bar with Dan.

Good luck to the Mrs.

Just be careful if she asks you to do it froggy style. It's not what you think!

We had a local radio DJ in Louisville 20 years ago who tagged himself the "frogman", and his intro was "doing it froggy style". :lmao:

It's Captain Jack Sparrow. You're still a boat captain. Living the dream.

Never made it to that one. We did the Luau at Poly and HDDR at Fort Wilderness. I guess it was because we have good bbq here in KY, and I'm not a fan of eating a TS dinner at picnic tables. Good thinking on adding it one day, one part at a time.

Happy Sunday. Finished my shift at the church this morning, and now I'm off until Tuesday. Saw POTC 5 yesterday. It was a good movie, but not as good as the others. I posted over in the FB spoiler thread my issues with it. I'll share them here after enough time has passed for everyone to see it if you care. Made it back home from a visit with the parentals. We may try picking blueberries when the season opens.

That female reporter just wanted to say something else.

She had a 31:04 chip time and was 32 out of 69 for her age class. :cheer2:
:cheer2:

Congrats to her.

Morning Guys,

Off to see Pirates this afternoon, looking forward to it.

I didn't know there were pirates in Canada? I thought the snow and penguins kept them away. :lmao:

Afternoon guys. Did some crap around the house and dinner is ribs and pasta salad. The ribs are smelling good right now.

Sorry I missed it, was plastering part of the ceiling and not plastering myself. Tried to get paint to match and the bozo at home depot didn't even get it close. Besides, at the Tambu Lounge my preference is an Absolute martini, very dry, up with a twist.

That will work. A Hooahh all around.

We are standing in admiration.

She's 23, what are you going to do? Not pregnant and going for her Masters. No if she had a job, that would be perfect.

Excellent time. Give her a well done from us.

At least he left his socks on

That female reporter just wanted to say something else.

I am sure it is something about small hands and small feet. Judging by his socks that is.

Saw POTC 5 yesterday. It was a good movie, but not as good as the others.

I may go try to see it tomorrow.

Is that the thing with the tongue shooting out?

Evening chaps from a 80 London. 2 parties back to back. Yesterday was 30 x 4 year olds with a party Jessie, was up at 5 making Jessie hat biscuits, today was 25 round for a BBQ. Pulled pork, cheeseburgers, dogs and the Monaco GP followed by the Indy 500 as the the DW family are all into motor racing. Long weekend off tomorrow, so definitely chillin on the sofa in my future. May take the boy for a run, as I have eaten way too may carbs this month, and drank way too much adult soda. Enjoy your ribs CJ, and all paint shops are equally useless, well done to the Missus Darcy, Jeff I hope you made it through all the Heathrow nonsense and Norm, enjoy your day off mate.

Have a great evening fellas.

Actually the job at Fort Wilderness is renting golf carts. It's sort of a karma thing, I guess. Back in New Jersey well had a park model trailer on a site for 15 years and the road it was on was a hill. For the last several years they were allowing carts to try and cut down car traffic and as you can imagine you had people speeding down the hill. We used to watch and see if there would be a roll over. Now it looks like I'll be an enabler. Karma's a funny thing.

.

That's how we measure success - not pregnant? :lmao: Well, I guess so.

As for the nose ring, I told my girls that I would help them out financially, but once they had enough money for tattoos or piercings, then they didn't need any money from me.

Yes, enjoying the day. Found Fawlty Towers on Netflix. Brilliant television.

Well, you're still in transportation.

Not a snowflake or penguin in sight, you must be thinking about Colorado.

I saw that Martin Short film in Canada and he talked about snow and penguins.

Morning Guys.

My take on Pirates - I thought it was better than the last one but not the rest. Wasn't exactly sure what the clip at the end of the credits was getting at but took a guess and I think it may be good idea.

Hope you all have a good Memorial Day.

Hello Gents, well I am back in the great white North and starting the new job this morning. Going fine so far, just doing all the tedious stuff like getting a swipe card for the office and doing a safety orientation. Plus trying to clean off my "desk". It's great they knew I was coming a month ago but despite having an office picked out for me, nobody bothered to clean it out. :headache: Apparently it's been used as a storage closet for a while. Oh well, nice to be appreciated. Anyway, a few days and I'll be sorted hopefully.

Hope my American neighbours are enjoying their Memorial day holiday.

I do envy your guys living father south and can pick strawberries in May. Ours won't be ready until July, although with the "sprinter" we've been having it could be even longer this year. Apparently there are snow flurries in the forecast here for overnight. I know the weather around here is crap, but it's not usually that bad. Won't be breaking out the shorts and sandals here anytime soon.

Jeff I hope you made it through all the Heathrow nonsense
No problems at all. One benefit of all the British Airways flights being grounded for their computer meltdown was that the runway slots were more open, so there wasn't as much of a delay getting off the ground. Actually arrived home 10 minutes ahead of schedule, which doesn't usually happen flying direct form Heathrow.

Sounds like a busy but fun weekend. Enjoy that sofa time.

I like that idea. I must keep it in mind.

I haven't seen Pirates yet, but nice to hear it's better than the last. I enjoyed the first three.

Dinner last night and leftovers today...

Tried a new rub recipe and it was good but slightly saltier than I like. Didn't stop me from chowing down though.

Good luck moving in. OK, snow coming is insane. IT IS ALMOST JUNE! Down here is day two of record heat, mid 90's with a heat index of over 100. Actually it isn't bad at all as long as you don't overdo it.
