Holiday Harmony December Exercise Challenge

Happy Wednesday!! (Halfway to the weekend - I think it's going faster than ever due to the holidays!)

Team totals stand at 408/3,770 - or 14% - We're blue!!!! :flower1::flower::flower1::flower::flower1:

20 minutes for me yesterday, so I have also reached Hanukkah Blue at 60/465.

Today's Question is "What in nature are you grateful for?"

Mine is sunshine. Getting out for a walk in sun, even if it's cold, always makes me feel better when I'm frazzled.

We've made it to Thursday! No minutes for me yesterday, but the team stands at 610!!

Today's question is:

What (Disney) memory are you grateful for?

I'll go with a particular morning when DS was about 6. We had an early ADR at the Crystal Palace, and were in the park before the crowds. I remember taking a castle picture, but mostly just watching him walk around that little garden, marveling at being there. It's hard to describe how it could be so calm and peaceful, and so exciting and magical - both at the same time, but that's the epitome of the "Disney feeling" for me.

210 minutes since last check in - - lots and lots of walking/hiking

490/1300

Once again, playing catch up:

Nature - most thankful for the mountains, any size, love them all - I grew up surrounded by them but have not lived near any for almost 20 years so when I see them during travels, I feel like I'm back home

Disney Memory - our entire first trip. It was a dream. I was unsure leading up to it if we were actually the sort of people to enjoy such a vacation but we certainly proved that we were.

@Twilight Sparkle - I grew up in a hilly area too (not quite mountains, but so pretty in the fall!) and I know what you mean. It's just so calming to me when I go back there.

25 new minutes for me, in two short walks, for 95/465.

:rainbow: And congratulations to Twilight Sparkle, who is our first team member to reach Candle Glow Orange!!

Team totals are at 845, and we're less than 100 minutes from team color change as well! :cheer2:

Today's gratitude question is:

What book are you most grateful for?

I'll forgo the Disney bonus points on this one and say the Harry Potter Series. Not only did I just love reading them, but it became a bonding thing with my oldest niece, who introduced me to them. Every year, we would wait for the new one to come out, and I would order two copies - one for me and one for her birthday present.

20-minute walk

255/1000

Disney memory - doing MNSSHP as Marion Ravenwood to my husband's Indiana Jones. His outfit was great and I was able to find a "Headpiece of the Staff of Ra" necklace on ebay to complete my outfit. Folks loved it!

Book - can't pick just one!

Adding 30 minutes today! 20 minutes from riding the bike at work yesterday and 10 minutes today from walking on the treadmill.
50/540

Sorry I've been so absent lately! I've been doing mandatory overtime at work which really cuts into the time I have to exercise!

The book I'm most grateful for is the Bible, for what I hope are obvious reasons.

It was a chore day at the barn today, so 165 minutes to add.

655/1300

Like PollyannaMom, I love the Harry Potter series, but after a lot of thought I've decided the book I'm most grateful for is Inside Outside Upside Down. It was the first book I ever read entirely on my own, and it started a lifelong love of reading. I don't think I've been without a book in progress since.

Good morning, and welcome to the weekend!

:rainbow: sophy1996 and Team December as a whole have reached Candle-Glow Orange, and Twilight Sparkle has jumped on to Plum Pudding Purple!!

I knew I would love reading the favorite books!

Today's question is:
What place are you most grateful for?

(I couldn't decide whether to narrow this one down to "Disney place" or leave it open - so answer either way you want.)

I'm going to say my college - St. Bonaventure, in western NY. Talking about the nature question the other day had me thinking about the area, and I have a DS in high school starting to look around, so maybe it's just on my mind, but it was truly a case of "the right place at the right time" for me. I grew so much as a person during those years, met my now DH...My life would be completely different if I had chosen someplace else.

I don't have minutes to add yet, but I wanted to answer the place question. I'll go with Disney Place to make it a little easier to decide. As such, I would have to say Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom because it's my daughter's most favorite ride and I am her ride buddy since her dad won't ride roller coasters. It gives me great joy to share those moments with her, watching her have so much light-hearted fun. She seems like a carefree little kid again, and, honestly, I feel like one, too, when I ride it with her!

@PollyannaMom, I love your place answer! Sounds like you definitely ended up choosing well.

35-minute walk, at a free community event. I met a most interesting gentleman who spent more than 40 years working in developing countries (13 in all). He retired at 60 and then went back as a contractor for another 15 years!

290/1000

Favorite Disney place - TTA in the Magic Kingdom. For some reason it just makes me so happy to ride around and around.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

70 new minutes for me - 10 on the mini-trampoline yesterday, a half-hour walk this morning, and then another half hour shoveling the driveway and brushing the car. I'm up to 165/465, and Candle-Glow Orange.

Today's question is:

What taste are you grateful for today?

This seems suspiciously like question #4 to me...but I guess that was just food, and this can include drinks, so I'll say coffee!

Good morning, everyone! And "Happy Color Change" to Elizabeth Smith, who has turned Hanukkah Blue!!! :rainbow:

The team stands at 1,245 minutes, and 33% of goal.

Today's question is:

What holiday are you grateful for?

If you've ever been to Disney on a holiday, please share your stories!

90 minutes since last check in

745/1300

I am grateful for:

taste - dark chocolate because it never fails to boost my mood

holiday - Christmas; I've never been to Disney on a holiday, but I would LOVE to be there for Christmas. Hopefully one day . . .

45 minutes of walking

335/1000

I haven't been to the parks on an actual holiday, but one year we did go for one day on December 26 (family gathering in the Orlando area over Christmas). We were a bit lucky because there were a few showers, so that cut down on the crowds. We've been other years on more off times (early December) so we've gotten to see the decorations both at WDW and Disneyland.

Just 10 minutes for me yesterday (205/465) but the team is at 1,450 and Shrfleen has reached Hanukkah Blue! - Congratulations!! :rainbow:

Today's question is:

What texture are you grateful for?

Nothing Disney comes to mind at the moment, so I'm going to say my pets' fur. That soft cuddly texture is definitely something I'm grateful for!
