No more character meals?

Just spoke with someone at Universal and apparently, the only place for character dining is the Marvel thing at IOA. No more Superstar Character Breakfast. He also said there is no more character dining at the hotels. Is that accurate as well?

Looking for a good place to celebrate my sons birthday. Although this is a Universal vacation, I'm thinking we might have to head to Disney for the day.

I just got this email about a Minion character breakfast at Sapphire falls.

There is this one starting this month...unfortunately only on Saturdays...

I can’t answer this question, but when we did go to a “character dinner” at the Kitchen restaurant at the Hard Rock last Feb it was a bit of a joke. Nowhere near as organized/compelling as a Disney character meal. In the 90 mins we were there, Homer Simpson came around, and then we had to chase down (if I remember correctly) Scooby Do when we were about to leave. And that was it.

The food was good there though.

and we didn’t go out of our way for it because we were staying there. So we didn’t really care about only two characters.

What a shame if they are stopping them.

We’ve always had amazing character meals at dinner at RPR and a couple at PBH over the years.

Characters come round more than once as it’s never usually that busy and always spend a lot of time with each table........we’ve had fabulous experiences and loads of pictures of Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, Gru and differing minions, Woody Woodpecker, Simpson’s and Shrek and Fiona a few years back.

It was something we did at least once every trip and will definitely miss them.
