Just for my husband and I

Thats what we thought as well. Instead it was very crowded, and lots of unsupervised kids running around. Every table was filled, 2-3 deep at the bar and a line waiting to get in as they were at capacity. Very noisy. The brick walls, and ceiling only emphasize the noise. At a quiet time, if you can fifnd one, it would be really nice.

Oh wow, I didn't realize this! Thanks for sharing.

Such a shame, I went there shortly after they opened and it was so lovely. Very quiet, half empty and the food choices were so much better than what they have on the menu now.

Another possibility: Tokyo Dining.
Table placement is more intimate and spacious than Teppan Edo and you can have a lovely view of the lake and fireworks unlike TE which has no view to speak of and is more centered on watching the hibachi cooks' show.

Great waitstaff with hostesses in costumes and a delicate hand w/ tempura in the kitchen. All 3 versions of the miso soups were divine. Can't recall what we had for a main course exactly ( sashimi, a beef dish and maybe chicken?) but it was good. The desserts were unfortunately what I came to expect @ Disney; looks good and too often all tastes the same.
Bring on the distinctive flavours, DW corporate people, and hire a master pastry chef that can show you the way!
Still, we were quite impressed and will return our next trip.

Somehow, we have completely missed that restaurant. We've eaten at Teppan Edo (similar grills at home), and Katsura Grill (nice CS option) beautiful outdoor seating areas. Just looked at the menu and it looks really good. Another one to add to the future dining list.

In Epcot, I'd probably vote for Le Cellier. Love how dark they keep it, but it'll definitely be loud. If you're willing to leave Epcot, I echo the others and highly recommend bluezoo! It's a really nice walk over to the Swan/Dolphin!

Katsura Grill- best QS in all the parks for my money!
The landscaping and topography is very realistic. We didn't eat outside since it was rainy and cold that January day but enjoyed the food: all had udon soup and overall calming atmosphere; another place to return to during the summer and enjoy one of the few Epcot spots with the shade:).

Oh, I am going to catch nasty comments :).

GET OUT of EPCOT. These are poor Restaurants.

Instead? Grab that Romantic Boat at the International Gateway. SAIL to one of...

1) Shula's (Dolphin) - no DDP, TIW welcome.
2) Il Mulino (Swan) - no DDP, TIW welcome.

You mentioned "one night alone" :). My dear wife & I get this. DO NOT (please?) eat in a PARK. There are far better options.

We go to BOTH of these REAL Restaurants - regularly.

"All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong."

We had our 'date night' at Flying Fish, which was delicious, while the kids and grandparents went to the Rose and Crown for a fun evening. Il Mulino and the Yachtsman were also great.
