We will be driving to TTC to go to MK (staying off site). I am preparing myself for it to be a mob scene. If it is, what are my options for getting to MK? I know when leaving MK I can get on the resort loop and just take a stop or 2 extra to get to the TTC instead of the express loop if the line is humongous.

I imagine I can take the same resort loop from the TTC to MK but I do not remember seeing an option. I remember at TTC there being a line for monorail to MK or monorail to EP no resort loop or express loop to MK options.

I also read that during busy times they offer buses to MK from TTC. I see on google maps where the buses are but I do not see where there is a walkway to get to them.

If anybody could help me out or point to a map where this info is I would appreciate it.

Just trying to be as prepared as I can.

For notice of where things are, with your back to the will call/ticket booths and facing the monorails:

From Right to Left:
  • Bus path/parking
  • Epcot monorail
  • Express MK monorail
  • Resort monorail
  • Ferryboat
  • Path to Poly, which continues to GF (Monorail or Water Launch options at both Poly or GF)
For the path to the buses is just in front of Mickey's Gift Station, with the building being on your left as you pass.

I will say that 7 out of 10 times I take the ferryboat as I find it much more relaxing than the monorail. I once arrive at TTC with a crazy wait for the monorails and ferryboat and since I was not in a hurry, I walked through Poly to GF and got the monorail there for the one stop to MK. I probably did not save much time since I took my time walking the paths, but I was not stressed out from being smashed in with so many other people.

That is for charter and other non-Disney buses, including Lynx & SOG.

When Disney is running buses from TTC to MK, they load in the old tram loading loop to the right of the Epcot Monorail. It's inside the gates, behind the building that contains the gift shop & the east restrooms. There will usually be a bus cm approximately in front of the Epcot Monorail exit ramp, barking and holding a sign pointing to the bus loading.

We did exactly that in December. When we got to TTC, the line for the express monorail was all the way down the ramp (I know they can put a lot of people on the monorail, but I'm still guessing we'd have to wait at least for the next one). The ferry was just getting ready to leave and the next one was still halfway across the lagoon. There were maybe a dozen people in line for the resort monorail and it just pulled up. So we took that. Yes, we had to stop at Poly & GF, but I still think it was the faster choice.

This was two days after Christmas, so presumably they had every transport running.

You won't need a map. This area is incredibly well signed. Get off the tram, and walk straight. You can take the ferry to MK, straight ahead. Or the monorail....either Express or Resort line. There aren't buses to the MK from TTC unless the monorail is down. It's a play it by ear type thing...wait until you get there and see what the situation is.

During times of highest attendance, there often are buses from TTC to MK in the morning, to take some pressure off the monorail and ferryboat. If it's one of those times when Disney has to bring in charter buses to supplement their fleet, often some of those charters are assigned to shuttle between TTC & MK. When the buses are running, they're usually the fastest way to MK because you can get on a bus with no waiting at all.

(When I was driving buses for MK, I spent many mornings parked in the "Mouse House" waiting for the call to activate shuttle service which never came.)
