Airmiles MEGA MILES ****Bonus miles are posting now*** Timeline added to 1st post

I received my 140 AM from my rexall shop last night and it's already posted on my airmiles.

Curious, are you saying that on your AM account it actually says Mega Miles beside your Rexall miles or you're just seeing the miles from yesterday showing up as usual?

We hit up Rexall yesterday hoping to get the 100 from the flyer plus the 40 from the MM coupon but we just weren't able to bump up to the $50.00 threshold to make that happen and couldn't justify an extra $10 worth of stuff to simply get AM (doesn't meet our requirements of not buying anything we don't need). Got to the till and one item she scanned came up on sale .. $1.50 less than the tag on the shelf and the large sticker on the product .. i spun around to hubby "AAKK the book is on sale!! Quick find something that's under $2.00" I kept watching the screen and something ELSE was on sale :crazy2: I glanced behind me to see a MASSIVE line so just grabbed 2 packs of gum and chucked them up on the counter. The poor kid at the cash kept giggling at me as she told me i hadn't met the $50 threshold for the 100 AM and told me she's never had anyone so upset that things were on sale! Too much stress for one afternoon :faint:

My Shell MM coupon posted as "main grade mega miles offer". All my others have not posted yet.

I had that same issue at Staples during the STB promotion. The Manager was ringing up my purchase and he happily advised me something I was purchasing was on sale (I forget what now). I stared at him and said "But what if I don't want the sale price?" :rotfl2: The poor guy just stared back at me. I don't think he has ever had someone refuse a sale before. It brought me under the STB coupon so I threw in an USB stick or something and explained why I said that to him.

That is what happened to me too. Customer service said the cashier should have known to do two separate transactions.
It's interesting because in all the times I've done the Foodland gc, I can see the AM go on under each of the gc listed and have done up to 5 in one go.

I used to be able to do that in one transaction and still got all the AM. However, for the Foodland GC offer last time, I was told by the cashier to ring the gift cards separately. This time since a MM coupon needs to be scanned, it makes sense to scan it one transaction at a time. Once again, the problem is the lack of consistency here!

Donald, yesterday at Rexall I was $2 short to make $50 also. I went running through the store to find something (DH was with me). I found the cutest magnifying glass with a light. It was the shape of a credit card and just slightly thicker. On clearance for $1.97. Got to the cash and instead of my total being $50.02 it was $50.80 (cold medication was more than the price on the shelf). I didn't figure that out till I was home but I was having a hard time getting to the $50 also.

First 50$ at Rexall was easy since I needed some LaRoche Posay sunscreen for our trip to California and a Vichy lip balm (I'm very particular on brands since I have very sensitive skin). The second one was more difficult but we mostly loaded up on Tide Nature laundry detergent and tooth brushes and tooth paste for the girls. DH didn't check the cash total before tax and we ended up 3$ below because I used two 3$ coupons for the Tide (they ended up at 3.50$ each which is a great price imho) so I had the cashier refund me everything and I re-purchased everything. DH was NOT happy with my decision but I really wanted those 100AM!! Well my girls were happy because I let them choose gum when 3 minutes before I told them no, or rather 'Only if I need to go over 50$'! lol. This morning I noticed on my AM account that Rexall posted twice 142 AM (40 from MM, 100 from 100AM/50$ and 2 base miles) while I should have gotten only one since the first transaction was refunded and not even over 50$ before tax (after coupons)! Any ideas what happened and if they will remove those miles later from my account? AM on DH's account (sunscreen) posted correctly.

They don't/can't reverse the air miles off the refunded transaction, it's happened to me before. However other points programs like HBC Rewards reverse the points immediately when you do a refund. Guess Air Miles can't figure it out yet, lol. So lucky you!!

ETA: My experience with this was also at Rexall. Not sure about other air miles partners tho!

I did the GC's at Sobeys today and specifically told the girl to scan the coupon, but I don't know if she did. Should there be something on my receipt that shows that I have done the MM portion? I did only get 150 AM and there is no PLU? #. Please let me know ASAP as I will drive down to the store tonight before it closes if they did it wrong!

If someone is looking for a relatively inexpensive add to their airmilesshop purchase - WagJag has Gino's pizza's for $10 each. You can buy 2 of them at a time, only once per day but as many different days as you want. It's not for delivery, but for $20 I can feed 6 people and it's our usual pizza shop anyway. Large with 4 toppings, lots of locations.

The PLU for me was on the main body of the receipt, right under the charge for the gift card. If it isn't there, I'd considering going to make sure it's been done properly.

Staples has this whole refund claw back your miles issue worked out ... we bought hubby a surface on a day it was 25X the miles, translated to a TRUCK LOAD. Darned thing wouldn't stay turned on so we took it back and did a straight up exchange which their POS system treated as a refund/repurchase. My AM account showed the miles in and out on the same day because it was a weekend. Took about a week for them to get back into the account.

Psst ... just saying ...
I sorta mentioned it here and the other thread ... as a way to book a very inexpensive Niagara Getaway. You should really look and see what's there, I swear they add new stores every other week- i use Groupon a fair bit as well. First cash in some survey points for a gift card and then sling shot thru the AM portal and chuckle to myself when i get a great bargain for free!

Went back just as they were about to close. Person there insisted that I come back tomorrow to get it fixed. Turned out 1 was correct with the PLU, but the girl didn't scan for the other one with my other AM card. I hope they will be able to fix it tomorrow.

Hi everyone. I've been away on a Disney vaca for the past 1 and a half. Got soem Sobeys cards today to start off my MM collecting. My wife and I have separate cards from the SIM offer and I have a question.
I have both a BMO and an AMEX card, but both are tied to my wife's AM # XXXXX. When I opt in to the CC offer for MM, I have to put in an AM #. Does that AM # have to match the one that is tied to the card on a regular basis, or can I sign up say the AMEX card to my # YYYYY for the MM promotion? This way I can have a CC option for both AM cards, rather than 2 for 1 card only. I think no, but I thought I'd ask the experts. Hopefully I've explained things in a way that make sense.

You explained yourself perfectly but I'm not sure i can find an answer to your question! (Not for lack of looking though) I'm thinking the answer is probably no unless there is an easy way to go into your credit card account and link a different AM to the card. I do know it's possible with HBC reward card to go in a switch back & forth at any point in time but since hubby has the credit card accounts on the computer that is with him at a client i can't check! You might want to put a call into the customer service of the credit cards and ask if they would do that, I know someone had to get their AMEX fixed up after signing up for one of the bonus and they created a new AM account to link it to.

There is still time to do the MM promo, here's the Terms & Conditions for the MC coupon

Just got an Indigo email, free shipping, no minimum. In case anyone is looking for a "cheap" airmiles shop online, don't need to spend over $25 (is it still that on Indigo?).

Thanks. I have a $50 Chapters gift card to use. One kid wants a How to Draw Manga book and the other an adult coloring book.
