True! I at first didn't add it then went back and added it .Depends on if they are up to it I guess. The thought of Primeval Whirl before 9am just made my head start hurting.
If I were you I would start my FP's at 9:00 and do them back to back then try for the 4th. At least you wont have long waits for your favorites.I'm keeping my fingers crossed that since it is daily and I was not planning on doing FoP or Na'Ji at rd that it won't make that much of a difference. We were going to ride EE and Safari at rd. But then again 9 am could be the time that all those at EMH start heading to those attractions. I was incredibly angry as this completely sucks for those staying offsite. It's like Disney is saying "No more staying off site. You stay with us or else we will make it impossible for you to ride the premium rides". Waiting in line for more than 30 -40 minutes for me is not happening. Is there any point in getting at the gates a half hour early? How do they handle entry to those poor pitiful people who stay off site and can't do emh? It hadn't concerned me because I had been avoiding emh days until now. Now I'm mad again.
I can't find the post but I agree with the person who said this is definitely a perk for onsite guests and with people wondering where the benefit was anymore to onsite, this is it.
Does Universal do something similar? I'm fuzzy on their onsite perks.
Clarifying further because I'm on coffee #1: Does Harry Potter open up early for their onsite guests?
So I just looked and every day but May 17th has EMH.... what the heck?
For whatever reason, May 27 and May 29 DON'T have the EMH, but all other days do.
Odd that they don't have EMH on the one day I have planned to go to AK (5/11). Whatever, I'm not shifting everything around for an EMH change anyway...

Wow, yeah I see that. Also looking ahead I see HS with EMH every morning in July and August.
This is really upsetting. We can only afford to go b/c we have a family timeshare offsite. We have 1 day at AK and our only hope to get on FOP was at rope drop. We have decided the max we are willing to wait is 2 hours since we don't want to give up our whole day one 1 attraction. We are being realistic that we may not get to ride it this time but we haven't been to pandora yet and don't know when we'll be back. What are everyone's thoughts on when or if we should even attempt it. We are 2 adults so we are open to early or late or both.
Can anyone explain what we can expect for lines at Dinosaur, EE, Primeval Whirl etc? We were planning on hitting Na’vi at rope drop and then heading over to these other rides. Now I’m not sure what we should expect coming into a park that’s had an hour of EMH going already.
I agree. We might not ride Na'Vi either this trip which is disappointing, but I'm thankful I got FoP for both of my AK days.FWIW I took a look at the times during EMH at AK this morning to figure out what we're going to do. Even at 5 mins to 9, everything was really low except for Navi and obviously FOP. Navi was up to 50 mins. EE was 10 and the Safari was 5. So if you're sticking with non Pandora rides at RD you should be fine (assuming today is typical). Navi is the problem for us. With our plans as they are there's no way to get the kids to the park an hour earlier. So this 'benefit' for on-site people means this on-site family is probably going to have to skip Navi this year unless we can score a 4th FP due to the last minute nature of this change. I realize it's nothing compared to the headache this is causing off-site folks but it's still annoying.
I'm wondering if this isn't going to be the new "normal." Onsite guests get EMH at whatever park has the hot ticket items similar to how Universal onsite guests get early entry to their hot ticket items all year 'round. That's because of Toy Story Land opening and it's been on the official park hours for quite some time. They did the same thing when Pandora opened. A new land opening makes sense. This two month thing in AK now, a year later, makes no sense.

Yes, I'm not afraid to go Standby, just didn't want to wait for hours for it.Why not just wait until the line gets short and ride standby. Last night, the reported actual wait an hour before close was 17 minutes for Navi. The wait time dropped to 5 minutes closer to closing time.
