we are coming down in September and we have always stayed at Riverside, I told my we couldn’t get in there this year and are at Coronado Springs, but truthfully I booked Beach Club(one of her top two all time resorts she wished to stay at) but she has no idea since I do all the booking. Now the problem lyes in how I tell her? I want to wait till day of arrival and that. Trying to get some opinions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Um, just don't say anything. Don't let her intercept anything coming in the mail either that could give it away.

Are you using DME? Car service? Driving?

Ultimately, if she doesn't know and won't know until you get dropped off at the Beach Club, then just let it ride....

Everyone is different, but some people love the chance to get excited. I know that I love to think about things before they happen. Even if your wife isn't a planner she may be happier knowing in advance so that the excitement can build. Only you know her that well though. If it was my husband I think I would tell him a couple of weeks before if it was somewhere he really wanted to go.

I think the best of both worlds is to surprise her, but well in advance. Maybe on a birthday or anniversary? The anticipation and planning is as much a part of the fun as being on the trip itself.

Enjoy, I think you’ll love BC!

When would you guys arrive? You can say you're going to Cape May Cafe and if you stop at your hotel first you'll be late for your Cape May reservation. So when you pull up to the resort you can pretend like you need to walk by the front desk first.

I surprised my mom a few years back - she thought we were at POR and I had booked the Poly. I told her on the way from the airport that I wanted to stop at Poly for lunch before we checked in because I was starving. She thought it was odd but agreed since I usually don't speak up when I'm hungry but she knows I get Hangry when hungry. When we pulled up to the gate I told the guard we were checking in. She still didn't believe it until I started pulling the luggage out of the car. She was wonderfully surprised.

I like the Cape May idea. Or if arriving later maybe say you were able to snag a Beaches and Cream for Lunch.

Good luck. I'm sure it will be awesome!
