Restaurant Recommendation

Hi,

In august we have booked Portofino for our first ever Universal stay.

We are transferring from Disney to Universal on our wedding anniversary and I would like to book a nice restaurant for dinner. Looking for recommendations for our party of 2 adults and 2 children (12 & 8) where one of the group is vegetarian.

Happy to eat at any of the hotels or city walk.

I agree- Mama Della's is good! They had a singer walking around the restaurant when we ate there.

The Palm at the Hard Rock is excellent- it's an upscale restaurant with wonderful steaks .

They have cars available at PBH that will take you to any of the UO hotels for free(we tip the drivers).

Mama Della's was excellent the one time we ate there. With kids, I'd go for one of the themed restaurants - Hard Rock, Toothsome, Bubba Gump.

What day of the week is it? When we were there in February, The Kitchen at Hard Rock had table-side magic on Friday nights. Two magicians were walking around doing tricks at the table, and one of them was amazing! Blew our minds. Food is also really good there, and an easy walk from Portofino.

Otherwise, we love kicking off our trips with dinner at Toothsome at City Walk. The theme is very cool and brings you into the spirit of everything, and the characters walking around are fun. Lots of variety of food options and the desserts are great!

We so enjoyed our interactions with Professor Doctor Penelope and Robot Jacque when we ate at Toothsome!!

Thanks for the recommendations, The Kitchen sounds good but we'd miss the magic as our anniversary is a sunday, but we can always try it another night during the trip. I have been reading a little about Toothsome and it looks great.
