DTD food trucks?

I saw a YouTube video the tower day and there were food trucks on the far end of DTD where ther theater used to be. I assume this is a new thing. Wasn’t there in December

They've done this before...I think last summer. The Habit (burgers) and chicken/waffle truck aren't new. Afters is new, I think, and they have ice cream sandwiches

Yes, you are correct.

Afters has, basically, donut ice cream sandwiches. It's a sweet iced bun filled with ice cream. They also have a flavor called cookie monster. It's blue. It's a very popular ice cream place in OC.

It sounds like this is Disney's answer to all the closed establishments at that end of DTD, now that the NEW HOTEL project is on an indefinite hold.
They've had this for about a month now, before the announcement of a hold. It is pretty nice. And busy.

Afters. It was so good.

The only food truck I'd be interested in would be one from EOS. ;)

I know food trucks are trendy right now, but I think it looks tacky. This is very expensive resort area and it just doesn't fit IMO.

They've done it a few other times too. I just remember thinking they should do it more often! I loved it. And Afters is fantastic. The Cookie Butter was great.

I think it’s perfect for people looking for a cheaper meal or something different. Variety is always good

I think this was suppose to be temporary/summer thing, until the new hotel was built, but who know what will happen now. Disney Springs has food trucks all the time right?

Kriss :tink:

I love food trucks and I'm super excited to try these out next week! Does anyone know what time the trucks get there?

I hadn't heard of this until this week, but for something temporary and to give more food options where closed establishments currently sit, I don't think it's a terrible idea.

the Afters food truck food looks amazeballs. I just hate that term lol (Afters, not amazeballs)

Anyone remember the food trucks at DCA for GlowFest? I'm still waiting for Disney to bring back the Greek truck! The gyros sandwiches were so yummy! And they had little donut things for dessert, too. Yum! There are usually food trucks in the same area for CHOC Walk (last year there was an Italian ice truck). And the food trucks are one of the best things about D23 Expo. I hope Disney keeps these trucks for as long as they can (until a solution for the west end of DTD can be found) and that they get a rotation of trucks going -- the more, the merrier and the yummier!

I think the food trucks have left Disney Springs, or I missed them somehow on my last trip. Most (but not all of course) of the construction is done and so many food locations are opened now.

Just an FYI: this thread is discussing the current state of the western end of DTD at DLR.

I just read on another fan site that the DTD (at DLR) food trucks have contracts through Labor Day. That of course could easily be extended if Disney needs more time to figure out what they are going to do now in that space with their new DTD hotel construction project on hold indefinitely.

Food trucks were pretty active tonight. Someone had asked about seating, I counted about 150-160 seats.

I grabbed a veg burger from the Habit last Friday night. I was super hungry after the parks had closed, there was nothing else open, and I was truly overjoyed to see it and that they even had a vegan option!! I highly endorse that truck.
