***Official Super December 2018 Thread***

MK generally opens at 7am every morning that week and other parks open earlier too. Your lunches are late. Are you planning on eating breakfast or bringing breakfast to the parks?
We plan on having cereal, milk, donuts, bagels etc. delivered to our room via grocery delivery for our breakfast. One delivery should last a week no problem.

Can Minnie Vans access the bus lanes? Or do they drop you off where the buses drop off? I really don’t know a thing about them. I’m just thinking..... the buses seem to have their own lanes that seem to avoid the traffic and congestion. Buses might be the better alternative. I just remember whizzing to the parks on the buses and seeing huge lines of cars trying to get in and out of the parks.
Minnie Vans use bus lanes

We will also be there during some of your dates including Christmas day and are also petrified! We always go during low crowds but our girls are getting to the age where we don't want to pull them out of school anymore and since we purchased Platinum Passes, we plan on going to see the Mouse a lot more! Have you googled Christmas day crowd pics? I did and then crawled under my bed shaking! It looks like total chaos! We are also planning on arriving early and doing our FP then our Lunch ADR's and maybe some shopping before heading back to the resort If we get the chance to do any other rides or shows we will consider it a bonus. Good luck to both of us. I'm sure we will need it along with more than a few adult drinks!

Right???!!! We just can’t pull out of school, especially with one in college. I have heard from several to make sure and be there at park opening, and then leave for a break. We plan to fill some afternoons with the Star Wars experience at Disney Springs, maybe a movie and also splittsville bowling in DS as well. We plan to hit the most popular rides at opening, and then the less popular ones when the crowds get heavy. Fingers crossed that it will be somewhat manageable and that my husband doesn’t wring my neck over this he is anti crowd ‍♀️

We have been between Christmas and NY before and absolutely loved it. Yes it was a mob. But the festiveness cannot be beat! Go with low expectations to “get stuff done” and soak up the environment as you go about your day- it will be fantastic!

What is this Star Wars experience you speak of?

...we haven’t been for a few years. Went Universal and other vacations. We know we are going back in May so we can catch whatever we miss in the crazy time thru NY

The Star Wars experience is called Star Wars Secrets of the Empire and its in Disney Springs. Its a virtual reality experience and from what I have heard it is incredible. It does cost extra. Something like $30ish a person but every review I have read says that its totally worth it. We love Star Wars so we are really excited about doing this and think it will be a good alternative to super crowded parks in the peak daytime hours.

It's at The Void at Disney Springs. I read it is about to change to Wreck It Ralph. http://www.wdwinfo.com/news-stories...irtual-reality-experience-to-debut-this-fall/

Staying at BWV Dec 8th - Dec 16th. This will be my first trip during the Christmas festivities. Has anyone on here experienced the Jingle Bell Jingle Bam and Sunset Season Greetings? I'm curious as to what time I should get to HWS in the evening to take in all of that?

I can't believe that we will be booking our fast passes on Monday.... Seems like time took forever to get here and now it is clipping along.. Hoping all the fast pass issues are clearing up.. seems like they are having so many glitches lately. Being on the West Coast I have to be up at 4 am my time and it is hard enough keeping my eyes open let along dealing with computer glitches haha

I am still trying to make a final decision on to do the MVMCP or not. I have booked two dessert packages (Jingle Bell Jingle Bam at DHS & Garden View Fireworks at MK) maybe that will be enough Christmas for me. I would also like to spend a bit of time resort hopping and looking at the different decorations.

Since the Canadian Ticket Offer came up we will be getting a 9 day pass instead of the 8 day just to cover the 9th day should we decide not to do the Christmas Party... So many decisions to make and such little time...

Do the passes load automatically to MDE?

Edit: bought 'em... answer: yes.

I just realized that I can make my FP reservations in exactly two weeks and I have yet to buy my tickets! OOPS!

I have mine, but I haven't attached them to our MDE account yet. We make FPs 10/17...guess I better get on that, lol. Thanks for the remind!

My fast pass date is 10/16...the same date they’re rolling out the new ticket structure. I’m expecting my fast pass experience that morning to be a big nightmare. Anyone else with a 10/16 fp date? For mutual moral support?

I'll be there 12/2-12/11 at Bay Lake Tower, except the (late night) arrival will be at All Star Sports and the 'I need another day' extension is at POP Century.

I originally planned to attend MVMCP on 12/6, but after attending MNSSHP the second week of September, I'm debating whether or not it will be worth the $$. MNSSHP was really busy when I was there. There weren't really any true 'walk ons' and most rides still had a decent line.

ADRs have been in the books for a while and I'm trying to finalize my Fastpass strategy as that date is rapidly approaching!

Hi all! :wave2: This is already a pretty big thread, but I wanted to add my trip to the party here! I'll be in WDW for a very short trip for my mom to finally see the parks around the holidays! It will be myself, my mom, and my dad, for 12/4-12/7, staying at the Boardwalk Inn. This will be a new resort for me so I'm quite excited! I did WDW around the holidays for the first time on a solo trip in Dec. 2016, so I'm excited to get to share it with my fam. And, because this trip is going to be so short I convinced myself to plan another, longer solo trip in Feb for my bday month, lol. So, I'll be upgrading my park ticket on this trip to my first ever AP. Very excited! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Plans so far are as follows. We're not doing any ADRs since it's such a short trip and we don't want to lose time sitting at TS meals.

Tues 12/4 - land at MCO 8:46am
- check in at the Boardwalk and walk over to Epcot for rides and the International Festival of the Holidays. Should be an EMH evening so, if we're not too tired, we can hang out a bit late at the park

Wed 12/5 - split park day
- AK in the am. Hoping to fp FoP since I've been dying to get on that ride
- DHS in the afternoon - Sunshine Seasons Greetings and JBJB!
- (MK should have EMH this night 9-11p so I might pop over there solo, as the fam will probably be beat or not interested)

Thurs 12/6 - MK all day
- MK in the morning
- maybe take an afternoon break or check out the decorations at the monorail resorts
- MVMCP

Fri 12/7 - flight departs MCO at 10:05am
You will LOVE Boardwalk. I'm staying there for my second time this December. It will be first time being at WDW during the holidays

I've had some frustrating issues (mostly fixed now) with MDE the last couple of weeks. I got some great info and tips on what to do from the Theme parks attractions and strategies forum. Might be helpful to you, also before and on your booking day.
Sending you lots of pixie dust for a smooth fast pass booking day.pixiedust:pixiedust:

FP went great today, they seemed to have fixed MDE (for now, LOL). I have a quick question. We are doing a second 1/2 day at HS this year and want to do either Alien swirling saucers or TSM. I have been periodically checking and TSM seems to have the longer waits. Has anyone noticed if this is correct?
